It definitely wasn't a bad one especially when you consider what the rest of the team brought, outside of McDermott. 9-29 shooting and only 3-17 from 3. Gibbs had a third of the team's rebounds and half of their assists.

Bingo.

Also, simple as it is, Creighton needs SPEED. Thankfully they've got that coming in with a few recruits. Perimeter shooters are all well and great, but if they aren't fast in the lanes teams can just lock down.

It's just what happens. There's a blueprint to beat every team, and when they're less physically imposing like this Creighton team, they're not going to be able to muscle themselves to a win.

It's Greg McDermott's turn to make adjustments in conference play; we'll see if this team has already peaked or not soon. If they have, they're in for dog fights for the remainder of the season.

I had already thought they peaked too early and thats the hardest way to win since different teams see what other teams do sucessfully and then do the same thing. Plus we are the team to beat right now.. We've already made it to the tournament and other teams are trying to catch fire late and squeak in.. just how it goes with CBB.

Not trying to look ahead of tonight's game at Butler but Saturday's home game vs Villanova is the highest ranked opponent to play Creighton in Omaha since No 4 Depaul on Dec 31, 1983. Also it will the first time since 1975 that Creighton is ranked and hosting a ranked opponent.

It should be a great crowd again, with the conference lead potentially on the line. The Jays are currently 5th in the country avg 17,686 per game. For conference games only the avg is 18,068.

Not sure why the team has looked so flat lately.. Seems with Gibbs back and still playing tenderly we've lost some team speed.

Top of the SportsCenter after the Wisconsin v Minnesota game featured McBuckets/Run DMc. His post game interview from CBSSports was almost played to the full. Showed him in 15th all time. CBS or Gottleib wants a Will to be called Gran Artino.

Guessing you mean standing-room only tickets. We thought we were going to have a tough time getting one for the Marquette game, but it was pretty easy and that game had 18,525. If the fire code allows it, I think we may see our first crowd top the 19,000 barrier.

That was an amazing game to witness....I didn't think Creighton would be up as large as they were, but McDermott seems determined to carry this team. My best friend hadn't been to a game in over 5 years and he loved every minute of it too. Glad we were able to witness him passing Larry Bird.

I think it's safe to say, Villanova does not match up favorably against Creighton. Creighton needs to find an answer for St Johns before the tournament.

How about Pistol Pete... simply amazing... 44 points (and no 3 pt) a game! and 400 pts ahead of 2nd best, with 20 fewer games!
