Lots of talent but the O Line needs to gel with the new bodies and the QB position is shaky. Defense should be fast and furious and a ton of talent at the skill positions on offense.

Haha clearly we need faster recruits if a cop was able to catch a wide receiver and tackle him.

Depends on how athletic he is. If he is a pretty great player, he'll get diversion. If he's a bench warmer, he's off the team.

Plenty of former NU football players end up with criminal justice degrees and then onto the LPD.

The Northwestern game has already been called the B1G game of the week...
Would that have something to do with the last-second Hail Mary we beat them on? Man, that was incredible.

It has more to do with the fact that sons B1G teams like Ohio St and Michigan are not playing that week, plus it may determine the winner of the west. Some preseason pundits have Iowa (soft B1G schedule) and Northwestern ahead of NU.

To be perfectly honest I'm glad he didn't play here. The reason he was kicked off the Washington Huskies was for committing a crime. Now its one thing if one of the Husker players who have put their time in commits a crime since we tend to rehabilitate. But to me trusting a guys word who just got caught breaking the law has no value and I would hate to have the program stuck in a bad spot for accepting the transfer. At least now he can break the law with his new team mates and even if he gets caught the SEC will smooth it over.

That was a very incredible catch. Behind the back? I've never seen that before. So that makes 2 memorable catches for Jordan: The Hail Mary against Northwestern last year and now this.

But anyway, good way to start off the season. Let's hope this momentum continues on for the rest of the season.

I am not a huge Nebraska fan, but WOW, what an amazing catch. I have seen a lot of great one-handed catches and many others, but I think that was the best catch I have ever seen (not to mention he kept his feet in bounds.)

Gregory had surgery. Sounding like nothing too major though, probably hold him out at least a week.

Read they scoped his knee checking for any issues but he checked out fine. Would be wise to rest him until we actually need him.. even a minor procedure like that can take a couple weeks to feel back to normal.

From what I gathered McNeese State might be a weaker team than FAU so sitting him until we need him will be much better allowing the guys backing him up gaining good experience in case he goes down later in the season.

Coach Bo Pelini said Monday that Gregory had a basketball injury from several years ago ''flare up,'' and it caused a clicking sensation in his knee. Gregory underwent a procedure Sunday to remove scar tissue. ''It was a non-contact injury,'' Pelini said. ''The doctors could tell from looking at the MRI that it was very old.''

Pelini said Gregory probably could play against McNeese State, if needed. It's more likely he'll return for the Sept. 13 game at Fresno State. ''We're not looking to rush him back right now,'' Pelini said. ''Make sure he's 100 percent, feels good, and when that time frame is, we'll see.''

24 to 21 going into the 4th Quarter. Would be a good win for McNeese State over a FCS Caliber opponent.

Damn! Nebraska wins.

Matt Davidson just called this a good win. LOL.
