Did they increase capacity for the arena and not announce it? I thought the previous two years they had at most 15,500 capacity.

So, when do we start the "this is paid attendance, I didn't see that many people at the game!" complete with pictures that may or may not of been from the final 5 minutes, discussion?

The Huskers switched to reporting paid attendance when they moved to the Vault. Prior to that it was always actual reported at the BOB. If you look you can still find both for the Huskers but what goes out with the box score is now paid #'s.

*sigh* I was joking. I don't care if they count the number of magical unicorns and leprechauns that enter the arena.

Kind of hard to tell and some people really get in a bunch about it. As far as I know they are not reporting Unicorns or Leprechauns yet.... I will let you know if I hear otherwise. :D

I was not there but watched on tv. Looked full.

I did get the humor on the attendance part.

Amazing that Andrew White was the only one that showed up for NU. I don't know why I always expect NU to get up for Creighton and they never do. Props to CU they are always up for NU.

Nice bounce back win against Rhode Island. Sounds like Watson will be getting more playing time going forward.

Nebraska loses to Samford. Nebraska played awful but the refs also were completely abysmal.

The officiating was not good but that is not what lost the Huskers the game. This season could quickly go in the tank if we play anywhere close to that level in Conference.

Nebraska really needs some size. This would be a huge get for NU:

Elijah Thomas, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward, will make an official visit to Nebraska beginning Dec. 29, according to report from ESPN.com’s Jeff Goodman.

Just saw the new AP poll. Michigan State, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Maryland are the top 4 nationally. 2 from our old conference 2 from the new.

Best game I've seen in years last night between our old conference mates in KU and OU. Wow. 3 OT's.

That was one for the ages. Just when you thought the Jayhawks were in control, bam, the Sooners started to hit threes. Then you thought OU had it....

Not sure what it means but NU had their second straight blowout win last night. It's good to get a couple conference wins.

Nebraska 72
(11) Mich St 71

Huge road win by the Huskers. They just let the B1G know they are still players in the conference.
Shields was relentless. His shot with 0.18 was sweet.
NU has their number, three wins against MSU in a row...

And two of those three on their home court.

Was a bit of a concern when Shields was helped off the court near the end of the first half. Was sure glad to see him back with the same force in the second.

One of the bigger things these last four games is the big reduction or elimination of the long scoring droughts. Along with this the young guns are learning to play together and growing up quickly

Watching the development of the freshmen has been awesome.

If only we had held the lead against Northwestern.....

Holding on for that win would sure have been nice but the one that makes me sick is the loss to Samford. That should never have happened no matter how you thins team is / was.

Yeah the Samford one was embarrassing. Right up there with Incarnate Word last year. NW is big for me because it's a conference loss. The conference games to me are so much more interesting than any non conference games.

I am with you on the Conf games being more inportant and more interesting.

Problem with the Samford loss though is that if the Huskers work their way into being a bubble team for any of the post season tournaments that loss kills the RPI and really hurts the conversations around the table of the selection committee

Unless you outright win the conference, the Non-Con games certainly come into play for tourney time (as nebugeater stated above). Just focusing on conference is nice and all, but when it comes to the bubble, those Non-Con wins (or losses) put you over the top (or under the bar).

Many teams have a weird Samford like loss, but Nebraska could have used a few more Non-Con good wins.

Tough home loss to # 3 / 4 Maryland in Lincoln last night. I really didn't think there was a chance in this game but the Huskers held tough and the 70 - 65 loss was even closer than the five points may have made it look.

The Huskers desperately need a big man for some inside presences. The Big Red D played strong, forced a lot of turn overs but just couldn't get an inside game going. It was a 1 pt game with just about a Minute left.

I am not one for moral victories but this one was close. This team is getting better in a lot of ways but if you look at the players on the floor for both teams last night you can see why one is a top 5 team and one is an also ran.

Yeah as much as I'm enjoying watching our young guys develop. I think there is a ceiling on how far they can go this year or next. NU really needs a couple guys for the paint. It's just so hard to compete in a league like the Big 10 without a couple quality big men.

Shields went up for a block, was undercut, and landed on the back of his head/shoulders. Was out cold for a while.14000 pretty quiet for 15 minutes.

Probably the best I have seen them play all season. They never let up and held the lead most of the game. It wasn't a buzzer beater by any means.

Will be a real challenge on Friday but who knows. Crazier things have happened.
