Our whole table had the Pork broth Ramen and added Pork Belly. It was really good. One guy in our group had been to Japan and seemed pretty impressed with its authenticity.

I dropped by Ika San Ramen & Izakaya at Shadow Lake Towne Center today for lunch. It was fairly dead inside and there was a sign by the host stand stating "No Sushi." A couple of small parties came while I was sitting there, saw the sign about no sushi, and turn around and left. I asked my server what was up and he said they didn't have a sushi guy. In addition to the no sushi, a couple of items on the menu were blacked out with marker which never looks polished. Overall, I had a decent lunch, but this location really seems to be half-assing it.

Ika ramen in the Old Market is not run well. It is dirty, and the menus so faded you cant read them. Have been once and will not go back.

Was the food good? An editorial in I wanna say The New York Times, about how some of the tastiest Asian restaurants have customer reviews of between three and four typically because the service is poor or similar issues.

I have had Ika at both the Benson and OM locations many times and have been very pleased with the meals. I haven't noticed any cleanliness issues, but I'm not really looking for that kind of stuff anyway.
