Just spent like over an hour reading every post and laughing so hard. There is one thing I want you to check out: FOX 42’s weather observer Kevin Ramer (sp?) I know they’re Fresno-based, but during his forecast he tries to use “the metro” as a way to make us think he’s from here. Funny thing is, he only refers to the city of Omaha the metro, never ever the metro in the correct context. And he says it a million times a newscast. If it were a drinking game, every player would be dead. It will annoy you to no end.

Becka is the biggest (literally and figuratively) waste of space at 42.

Seriously I like Koterba. What a talented artist. Wish I could draw like that. Better yet wish I could could make a good living by just making drawings on a paper. Koterba is a legit talent. Its that Tom Shatel that leave mes shaking my head when I hear him on the AM radio. Who stutters more Tom Shatel or Tom Becca talk among yourselves.

The Morning Blend show will have it’s last show next Friday May 18th. The syndicated talk show Pickler & Ben will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 21st. E.W. Scripps, parent company, produces that show.

Growing up in Omaha in the 70’s, 3 was the primary source of local television news in our household...

KMTV was so much better back in the 80's and 90's. They had both "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune". And I don't expect anyone to agree with me on this, but I think NewsCenter 3 sounds better than Action 3 News or 3 News Now.

Action News was a better fit for WOWT than KMTV.

I agree with that statement 100%! Each name change gets worse that the previous.

They'd do well to take a lesson from KETV. For the last 40 years, KETV's newscasts have been called NewsWatch 7. And that's worked pretty well for them. I don't see why NewsCenter 3 couldn't have worked for KMTV had they stuck with it all these years. In fact, I wish they also still used the "3" logo they had from 1986 to 1999.
