Privada Development (SWC 204th and Center)
Pretty standard large suburban development proposed for the SW corner of the intersection. 156 single family lots, a few low rise office buildings, multifamily, retail out lots etc.

One good thing all this sprawl is blocking any freeway between Elkhorn and Greta.

Now that the sprawl is already out there, though would a freeway really be a bad thing? Don't need to worry about "if they build it they will come" if they've already come.MTO wrote: Sat Jun 02, 2018 4:25 pm One good thing all this sprawl is blocking any freeway between Elkhorn and Greta.

Semi-divided 204th Street is enough for what is needed out there. If the the people have already come without a freeway, there's no need to put one in for kicks and giggles.ProgKingHughesker wrote: Sat Jun 02, 2018 7:33 pmNow that the sprawl is already out there, though would a freeway really be a bad thing? Fair 'nuff.
If anything, one day I can see a freeway extended south along 275 and crossing the Elkhorn river somewhere south of Q one day to meet up with I-80 between 370 and 31, hopefully being west of the river as far as possible would prevent the worst of the sprawl and sprawl along the 370 corridor is more or less inevitable.

Cool development... The sprawl is really reaching & pushing beyond 204th from SW to NW Omaha. West Center Rd has always pushed out the furthest first (along with 'Q').
I can get pushed out because I'm "too much" for some. Then, an observer of me comes suddenly swooping in to "fill my shoes." People are always more accepting of the new one, because their feathers aren't truly ruffled by them. (Yawn) I can count on it every time.

Where do you find things like this on the planning board website? I can find the meeting minutes but that’s about it.

On the southeast corner a development called West Center Commons. Pretty basic retail development with an apartment complex, self storage and car dealership.

Re: Privada - SWC 204th and Center
Its is actually Privada... they are getting ready to start building the streets. After viewing the plat, the area includes a couple of convenient store/gas stations and some fast food venues. It’s probably about 50% commercial and the rest is residential on the south end of the land. The estate lots and acreage lots will not have an SID, the role of the SID for those lots will be handled by the HOA instead... stret light repairs, road repairs, etc. not sure if this is good or bad for homeowners

Does anyone know what is going into this Privada retail area to the west of the Bryan campus? They have been moving lots of dirt over last month.

There are luxury apartments similar to the Aerie Blue Sage ones (more like townhouses / condos than traditional apartments). They appear to be even higher end than Aerie.
