I somewhat agree with Grandpa here. I'm not sure about whether he would have been president, but picking Palin did damage his chances and was a horrible decision.

That said, even though I didn't always agree with his views, he was respectful and was an American patriot and hero. He didn't always fall in line with his party and instead would try to put the country first (which we are in dire need of more and more). May he rest in peace.

I can't remember the last time I saw him on TV. All I can picture is Smokey and the Bandit as well has him being impersonated on "Celebrity Jeopardy" on SNL.

Couldn't have been too bad off. He was set to start filming a movie in just a couple of weeks. Had seen what I think was current coverage of him a couple of the times over the last few months. I would call him looking frail, just looking his age.

In addition to him Bob Einstein (Super Dave Osborne) and Daryl Dragon (Captain of Captain & Tennille) both passed away, both also 76.

I didn’t see any mention of it here, and just recently found out.. Sondra Locke passed away this past Nov 3rd at 74 years old..

If you were a fan of Clint Eastwood movies back in the 70’s into the 80’s- Think “The Outlaw Josey Wales” or “The Gauntlet” etc.. Sondra unually played Clint’s love interest and co-actor in his movies. It didn’t hurt that she was his actual live in girlfriend during this time either...
