TCU reportedly one of two schools (Creighton the other) added to college basketball corruption probe, according to court filings
Two new college basketball programs have been linked to the ongoing college basketball corruption probe, according to a document filed Thursday in the Southern District of New York.
The new development, which was first reported by the Los Angeles Times, cites unnamed universities in Nebraska and Texas.
Yahoo Sports' Dan Wetzel reports, citing sources, that the two schools are Creighton and TCU.
In the indictment, federal prosecutors allege bribes were paid to unnamed assistant coaches at schools located in Nebraska and Texas in order to steer players to a particular agent or advisor.
In July 2017, three men met with the assistant coach from the Texas university, reported to be Barker, in a Las Vegas hotel room, according to the court filing. The assistant received $6,000 to steer particular players to the company ran by Christian Dawkins, who is a defendant in the federal case.
