ZipLine Brewing Company (Omaha Tap Rooms) - CLOSED

Post by nebugeater »

Looks like Zipline is adding a tap room in Omaha at Copperfields Plaza at 3808 S 203rd Plaza

Nice addition IMO

https://ziplinebrewing.com/bringing-bra ... new-world/
BRINGING “BRAVE NEW BREW” TO A “WILD NEW WORLD”
Zipline Brewing Company is proud to announce its intent to open a second taproom in Omaha – its fourth taproom in Nebraska. Located along 204th St. (US Hwy 6) between Gretna and Elkhorn, the Zipline Beer Lounge will be a multi-functional craft beer destination scheduled to open this summer.

“We’re excited to bring Zipline to this relatively underserved part of Omaha,” said founder Marcus Powers. “The Beer Lounge will be a place where the neighborhood can enjoy all our products as fresh as the day they’re made.”

In keeping with its name, the Beer Lounge will encourage craft beer fans to relax and hang out while playing shuffleboard, sprawling out on sofas, or trading stories at the oversized bar.

“It will be a destination not only for craft beer fans, but for anyone seeking a good time, and it should be ready just in time to enjoy the patio!” Powers said.

Zipline also has something special in the works inside their north downtown Omaha Taproom on North 14th Street, bringing “Brave New Brew” to a “Wild New World.”

A new project called Culture Lab will offer wild and mixed fermentation beers available exclusively at the north downtown location.

“Culture Lab will allow us to be creative with funky, small batch brews,” Powers said. “We are focusing on Omaha Beer Week for the launch.”

The Zipline Beer Lounge will be joining tenants at the newly constructed Copperfields Plaza at 3808 S 203rd Plaza, Omaha, NE 68130. All production will continue at the current brewing facility located at 2100 Magnum Circle

Zipline now has a new "Black Label Series"

https://ziplinebrewing.com/introducing- ... ed-series/
Zipline wrote:INTRODUCING THE BLACK LABEL LIMITED SERIES!

This month, Zipline is unleashing the full creative power of its brewing team to push beer boundaries like never before. Our Black Label series represents the most over-the-top, flavor packed, premium beers we’ve ever made. This ultra-limited line of Brave New Brews will include intense imperial IPAs, loaded pastry stouts, the juiciest-fruitiest sours, and luscious milkshake IPAs we’ve never produced outside of our homebrew setups.
Even better, for the first time, we will be packaging approximately 100 cases each of these beers offering them exclusively in our retail locations and a select few retail outlets.

Up first in the Black Label series is Imperial Latte Stout. Infused with loads of coffee, chocolate, and milk sugar, this viscous stout clocks in at a hefty 10% ABV. Made for sharing, it’s the perfect warmer for the cold January days.

Next up in will be our Lemon Meringue Milkshake IPA – a creamy, smooth beer brewed with lemon puree, graham crackers, milk sugar, and vanilla. Thick and rich, this “Pie-PA” will have you thinking you just licked the spoon on a fresh batch of lemon curd.
Additional releases will follow, but for now, get ready for Imperial Latte Stout, as this one won’t last more than a week or two!

Honestly, the residents of the adjacent neighborhood ruined the place as they turned it into a neighborhood bar they would push their strollers to. I can remember thinking, "Why am I sitting at the bar in a brewery's taproom listening to toddlers run around and scream?" Needless to say, I went maybe twice and never went back.

This is more and more common in breweries in the suburbs. Heavy is the same.

I went to Heavy for the first time with my wife and neighbors not knowing what to expect.

I swore the address was wrong when I was driving into the industrial area to find it - totally doesn't fit; but, I did think the place was a cool spot. I can see what you're saying, though. Especially with the fact they have the small arcade section which is an obvious nod to try and welcome kids into the place.

Overall, I thought the food was good - thought the drink prices were steep. A 10oz. beer for like $7; less than a bottle's worth of booze IMO for that price is high, especially when you're business is in a big steel shed. Not being a beer snob I'm guessing these flight glasses are the new rage to try and make your home-brewed beer fancier (and more expensive)?

I hope it can last - it was somewhat busy but it was a music bingo night. Not sure what their typical weekend looks like.

Never made it to Zipline, but if it was a bunch of stay at home moms with strollers then I'd say I wasn't missing much. LOL

I've been there many times and never experienced stay at home moms with strollers or anything close to that vibe. I never considered taking my kid there. Heavy on the other hand I would be comfortable bringing my kid. As long as the kid knows how to behave I see no issue, but I know that can be issue for a lot of people lol.

Many of the breweries around where I live - the "hip" part of St. Louis if you will - are family friendly with arcade games and generally kid friendly food menus. Both of the larger breweries within walking distance of my house are packed with families and friend groups who have kids on the weekend. They have giant, Oktoberfest style communal tables. These breweries aren't catering to a crowd who come to get trashed and forget about their work or families or what have you. They're places where everyone can get together, bring their kids, their friends, their dogs, and everyone can legitimately enjoy themselves in moderation. They close at 10.

bad location.

my kids do the leotard thing next door and ive never seen the stroller phenomena any time ive been in there.

always been 3 or 4 "craft beer patrons" along with 1 bartender any given time ive been in seeking alpha modern.

no idea how they swung the rent even that long.

That's a shame. Here's hoping the new one planned in Millworks is a hit with a more used soccer stadium.

Why would you choose a national chain brewery when Kros Strain is right across the street?
