What could have been. It was definitely a great idea.

I'd say the end result would suggest otherwise. In a different economy perhaps.

I would guess the economy more than anything. They probably didn't have the backing to stick it out for years like the wallstreet tower.

They finally started on the end bay of the strip mall. They ripped the roof off a while back and now they took part of the front off. Its the old play it again sports location.

Are those apt looking buildings being built behind the strip mall by the same design company just settling for a less ambitious plan or is it different developers all together?

Considering this was a facelift to fit with the now-defunct 80 Dodge project, it looks a little out of context. But yeah, I do still like it better.

I still wish they had left the east side wall as exposed brick - the old fashioned pepsi ad that was visible for awhile during the middle of the renovations was actually neat to look at.

I haven't been a member that long, but that is hilarious. Reviewing this thread, I didn't know that they had such ambitious plans for this area.
