I like ESPN's segments of "Omaha to the Biggs" showing today's highlights on MLB players that played in the CWS.
Saying what years they played at what college and when they played at the CWS. Have they done this before?

I saw in his column yesterday, that Creighton and the NCAA has looked at Werner Park for hosting the Super Regional if CU had advanced. NCAA does sound like it was wanting the games at TD so close to the CWS.

If that is actual attendance from the portion of the game that was played today that is great. I didn't expect there would be that many to make it back for the completion.
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!

The teams certainly don't seem to be having an issue hitting the ball out of the park anymore.

With Michigan in the CWS and especially in the finals Omaha has gotten a mention on every single newscast. Not a ton on Omaha itself and brief video of the stadium but they can't just mention the College World Series. It is always the College World Series in Omaha. Sometimes if they interview a player some of them mention something about "I've always wanted to get to Omaha. I watched <so and so> play in it."

With Kumar Rocker going for Vandy tonight I think we get a 3 game final (which is good for Omaha).

Since the eight teams were announced, I was pulling for Michigan. So glad they made it this far, but you can only expect a southern team to win it all.

The College World Series final finished with a solid viewership number.

Vanderbilt-Michigan scored a 1.3 rating and 2.00 million viewers in Wednesday’s Game 3 of the College World Series final, up 18% in ratings and 6% in viewership from Oregon State-Arkansas last year, which aired on ESPN2 (1.1, 1.89M). Compared to Game 3 of Coastal Carolina-Arizona in 2016, which aired during the afternoon on ESPNU, viewership jumped 298% from 503,000.

Compared to the last Game 3 to air as scheduled on ESPN — Virginia-Vanderbilt in 2015 — ratings increased 18% (from 1.1) and viewership 20% (from 1.67M).
Game 3 outdrew every Major League Baseball game on ESPN this season, with the current high being 1.97 million for Red Sox-Yankees earlier this month. The College World Series final accounts for three of the top four baseball audiences on ESPN this year.

I have to agree. I mean I knew ESPN had to have a lottery to get posts to the CWS as it was super popular for the crews and on air talent. I knew that the CWS was big here, but didn't realize that it had got that big nationally.

I just watched a replay of the CWS Home Run Derby and saw Griffin Doersching from Northern Kentucky hit 16 HRs in the first round, 15 in the second round and 20 in the final round hitting the roof in LF several times. The Park couldn't contain him.

Kumar Rocker as a HS senior was drafted in the 30th round but didn't sign, so he is ineligible to be drafted until after his Junior year in college. How long has this rule been in affect?
