They do both have cheese frenchiees, although my wife tells me they are not as good as the Kings Classics ones. I never got to try them, but she did, in Colorado.Louie wrote: Mon Jul 08, 2019 4:35 pmI seebigredmed1 wrote: Sat Jul 06, 2019 1:42 amI think they bought the name rights. Their food is not the same.

Omaha Racers
Omaha Knights
A legitimate Horse Racing Facility that actually has a nice grandstand and season and not just local horses running for 3 weeks with bleachers as a grandstand.
So basically Just bring back Ak-Sar-Ben.

Yeah, I used to live close to UNMC and the tracks on Hamilton and Leavenworth would rattle the toughest suspension systems. Can’t say that I miss them.

When was that? Just curious how late they were still exposed on the streets before they were paved over.bigredmed1 wrote: Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:56 pmYeah, I used to live close to UNMC and the tracks on Hamilton and Leavenworth would rattle the toughest suspension systems. Can’t say that I miss them.
The last remaining exposed tracks I knew of were at 29th ave and Lake. I think they've since been paved over, and they were exposed even as late as a few years ago.

The 1960s had them all over. The 1970s has them on Leavenworth and Saddlecreek. The early 1980s saw them covered mostly on Leavenworth.

Yeah, the old street car tracks were all over in the 60's. There was a track running down the middle of Maple in Benson and of course Dundee and many parts of North 30th and all over downtown. I remember the old downtown bridge to Iowa had tracks on it and they were all up and down Broadway too.bigredmed1 wrote: Sun Jul 14, 2019 8:05 pm The 1960s had them all over. The new owners of Taxi's are bringing back stuff from the neon goose. The cheese balls at Longhorn bar in Ft Calhoun are very close to the ones at the neon goose according to my wife, a recovering neon goose cheese ball addict.
