Minor League Pro-Sports TV Coverage
Have you ever noticed that TV coverage of the minor leagues in sports (including baseball, football and basketball) is virtually non-existant? Why is that? I don't mean Little League sports for kids, I mean the minor professional league teams. They don't get as much attention as college or pro sports. How come?

Because it's the minor leagues?
Seriously though...we get NBC Sports Chicago RSN and they occasionally show White Sox AAA affiliate game.

are you referring to full game coverage on TV or radio or reports in the news on TV. radio, or newspapers?
For the record NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER !!!!!!!

Back when I first moved to Omaha, and one of my job "duties" was to watch local television
I remember that during the sports report they would always "take a look at The Association" (the league the then-Royals were in) and flash a shot of the league scores, not just the Omaha scores, and note anything of significance. They quit doing that sometime in the 1980s or so.

Moved from GI to Denver in the mid 60's and discovered the local independent TV station (KWGN-2) carried all of the Denver Bears (AAA-Pacific Coast League and then American Assoc) home games and a local radio station carried home and away. Saw Bobby Bonds when he was slugging HR's for the Phoenix Giants and witnessed the new Manager, Billy Martin turn the team from last place in July to the league championship series.

Yes, I meant TV. What I meant was that networks like CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox or ESPN don't normally show minor league games. They show plenty of college and major pro games, but not minors.

I don't know how this topic came up last night, but it did.
A retired co-worker of mine noted that decades ago, one of the local TV stations (he could not remember which) did regular weekly broadcasts of an Omaha Cardinals game from Rosenblatt. He also said that KFAB and WOW radio used to do regular radio broadcasts during the Omaha Dodgers era.
