I'm a little slow here but now I get it. ESPN was not going to come to Lincoln this week if Nebraska lost to Illinois Saturday night. This is why they waited to announce where they were going until right after the game. The only reason they really are coming here is Ohio State. They wanted to follow Ohio State here but they were not going to Lincoln in the middle of a rapidly imploding Husker season.

I think I have spotlight anxiety now after the Huskers have lost miserably every single time they get the "a team" coverage.

I'm glad it will be on abc at least. There shouldn't be any issues in viewing the game.

So I watch a lot of college football and follow Gameday pretty extensively. They always wait to announce the next location until Sunday. But this is a massive opportunity for the Huskers. College Gameday is more or less a 3 hour commercial for the University. Its a huge weekend in Lincoln with the Buckeyes coming to town, also Fred Hoiberg and the team are having some type of basketball event on Friday I believe with Rick Ross performing. Many big time recruits will be in town for the game as well. Even if the Huskers lose a close game that will be considered a moral victory imo. If they pull off the upset the seasons tone will change dramatically along with national perception. I can't wait for the game and the pre game events. I'll be down in Lincoln taking it all in. GBR

Once Utah lost it was headed to Lincoln. They spilled the beans during the Okie State Texas game, while NU was still underway at Illinois.

I figured it would be Union. The other outside shot was Terence “Bud” Crawford.. But Union and her hubby DWade are obviously more high profile..Plus Gabby and Wade have been seen several times attending Husker games in the past..

She was the obvious choice imo...
