Nebraska is horrible....why they keep getting huge front page sports stories in the World Herald is beyond me.

Iowa is an 8 1/2 point favorite tonight. I think it started out at 6 1/2 yesterday. This would be a tough bet. You don't know which Nebraska team is going to show up. If Nebraska plays tough defense then they might have a chance. If Nebraska plays the lame defense we have see out of them in some games then Iowa will win by 20.

Oh, yeah. Indeed. Even though it's quite clear Nebraska won't be in the NCAA Tournament this year, this is still a good win.

This is spot on. You don't know what Nebraska will do. With a new staff and essentially a completely new team, they are completely unpredictable.

This is also why they will continue to garner a lot of media attention despite their record. Because of the unpredictability, they are fascinating to follow.

Fun win over Iowa.

Fun game to be at. The crowd was into it the whole time and feed off the team. Amazing how different it was a few nights early against Rutgers when the crowd was dead as well as the team.
For the record  NEBUGEATER does not equal BUGEATER    !!!!!!!

I have not been to a game yet this year. I am coaching 3 hockey teams (never 3 again). Still need to make a few. The crowd did seem great last night.

Loved how much coverage there was post game on BTN since it was the last game. Interviews (great one with Thor), analysis and the post game pressers with the coaches.

Amazing how much better this team plays when Green isn’t playing. We’ve seen a pretty good sample size this year to know limiting his minutes is best for the team.

Ohio State is a 17 1/2 point favorite over Nebraska today. Ohio St probably will win by 20 but I would still bet on Nebraska getting all those points. So far it appears the odds makers are much better at setting the odds on Husker basketball then they were at Husker football.

Nebraska goes down to Ohio St 68 to 80. Huskers cover the points for the 2nd game in a row.

You would have won your bet. I just have no idea one game to the next on what to expect from Nebraska basketball.

The bookies have Nebraska as a 15 point underdog at Wisconsin tonight. Those bookies got the number right again I am afraid. Nebraska should go down by 10 to 20 points. Too close of a bet to touch for me but if I was to bet it I would bet Nebraska getting 15 points.

Not as close at the end as Rutgers but still one NU could have won. Would have liked to have beat Rutgers or Michigan.

Still having a hard time believing Rutgers is now a top 25 team. Just seems weird to say.

Cam Mack already in the top 10 all time seasons for assists. Lots of games to go.

Next one is a tough one too with Penn State coming in playing well.

It is WAY too early to judge this hire. We only brought back one player.

If you want, look at his record at Iowa State, 1st year he went 3 and 13 in conference and finished 12 of 12. Every year after that made the tournament and got to sweet 16 in one of them.

I hope this works otherwise we might as well just stop playing mens sports at UNL.

I do too. Even by Nebraska standards the support of the fans for men's basketball is impressive.

So the Huskers are at #9 Maryland tonight. On top of everything that has been the season so far, they are down two players that have been getting plenty of Minutes. Dachon Burke is sick and did not make the trip. Haniif Cheatham is questionable at best with a game-time decision due to an injury from the Iowa game. How ugly will it be? Last I saw Maryland was a 17.5 point fav.

I heard about the injuries and thought the same thing. Doesn’t 17.5 seem low? I am not a bettor, and if I was would not bet for or against Nebraska due to emotional attachment. That being said I could not imagine bettering Nebraska without getting at least 20 points.....

Nebraska 70
Maryland 72

And NU could have stolen this with under 5 seconds.

At no point before or during the season was I ever even thinking about NU possibly being in the tournament. I could not forget about the tournament because I never considered it.
