Much of this team has been a 20 - 30 Min team playing a 40 Min game.

More front page pub (well, at least the NCAA Mens basketball front page) on ESPN. Reporter claims Creighton is the real deal.

Sorry, having an issue posting the link from my phone, but go to ESPN and you'll see it.

Very true. With a couple of the transfers having to sit out, it really hurt the depth. Next year should be interesting. Hoiberg seems pretty excited for the transfer rule change.

I am coaching 3 hockey teams this winter so have not made it to a home game yet (still plan to). The crowds look good on tv. How's the mood been at PBA?

From what I hear from “a guy” that should know the players that had to sit out but are here are killing most of the guys playing this season. I expect a dramatically different experience next year

That's awesome. Hoping Hoiberg follows his ISU format. First year last in Big 12 (still had 12 teams then too) to NCAA tournament in his 2nd.

Koby King, of Wisconson, is transferring to Nebraska. He was MR Basketball for the state of Wisconsin for 2017

Should be a solid addition but as is usually the case you never know for sure.

https://www.espn.com/mens-college-baske ... s-nebraska

King, a 6-foot-4 guard, announced in late January that he was leaving the Badgers. Days earlier, the school announced that King would not play against Iowa to deal with a personal matter. Sources told ESPN at the time that King was unhappy at Wisconsin and that a parting seemed imminent. King later told the Wisconsin State Journal that he told coaches and teammates he was leaving the team before the announcement about him missing the Iowa game.

This looks good. The somewhat rate in conference transfer.

Yeah free throw shooting did them in. Definitely a winnable game and the most winnable game left. That being said, is there much difference between 8 and 30, and 9 and 29?

This is obviously a lost season, and very similar to Hoiberg's first at ISU. Looking forward to next year, I like what I am hearing about the players that are sitting out this year.

How in the heck does a team go 8-for-30 from the free throw line? If they made just ONE more and go 9-for-30, game doesn't go to overtime.

I just realized previous numbers on my post was free throws not record. We’ve only won 7, not 9. Should be easy to show improvement next year. Can’t get worse.

I always find it difficult to justify less than 50% from free throw line, 8 for 30 historically bad.

Yep, and he also does games on Fox Sports and FS1. He's even done games with Nick Bahe. I think he's really good.

Will be interesting if he gets back into coaching like at a Summit League school or stays on TV.

He still lives in Lincoln as well.

He has stated in a couple of things I have seen from the last couple of months that he wants to get back into coaching.

Nebraska guards Dachon Burke and Cam Mack suspended indefinitely

So how many players left on roster?

Read a report where Nebraska will be down to seven available players for Sunday's game against Minnesota.

GrandpaaSmucker wrote: Tue Nov 05, 2019 3:32 pm Will Nebraska win 16 games this year. I say highly unlikely. The only bad thing about this almost sure win bet is I have to wait until March to collect my winnings. It is not impossible but it is a reach indeed to think Nebraska could win close to half of its games. The Casinos are not even taking bets on the game tonight so it looks like Nebraska has the first win of the season in the bag.

This bet was a steal and I knew it but I just did not have the guts to bet 1000 on it although l actually thought about hard. I mean come on if Tim Miles could barely win 17 or 18 games a year with Roby, Copeland and Palmer then how in the world was Nebraska going to win 16 games with that team Hoiberg threw together in a couple of months? It just was not happening.

Last game of the year and the coach has suspended a couple of the players for being bad boys. Minnesota is favored by 15 1/2 at home. I can't really see to much of a reason why Minnesota does not win by 20!

Nebraska lost 75 to 107 to Minnesota today. In my mind 90% of the reason this was the worst season ever is because Tim Miles had left a team loaded with zero talent. This disaster would of happened even if Miles had not been fired. That being said so far we have seen very little promising talent recruited out of Hoiberg. If Hoiberg does not find some good players fast like in the next couple of months look for the beat downs to be continued next year.

Losing 2 players to suspension didn’t help.

With as bad as we are this year, shouldn’t be too hard to show improvement next season.

Sounds like he is moving on.

Burke released the early-morning message on Twitter, thanking NU Athletic Director Bill Moos and the coaching staff for the opportunity to play at Nebraska.

And 2 Husker football players being added to roster:

I remember Matt Davison, current assistant AD and former football player, playing one year of basketball too.

Not sure they will play. I think it's more in case of emergency.

Curious, with 7 active players what would you have done instead?

Yeah it was going crazy. Not sure if true but I thought I saw at one point Andy Katz reporting that Nebraska was quarantined to their locker room? And food was being delivered.

Yeah with the Coronavirus, now influenza A is no big deal. Strange days indeed.
