I Didn't even notice that. I wonder what it would take to get them to just remove it? (I can't be the only one who never uses and would be happier without a microwave)daveoma wrote: Sat May 05, 2018 4:23 am I saw the photos on the website. The units look nice, but what's up with the microwave being 5 inches away from the floor? How are you supposed to insert and remove food when it's so low?? The person who designed the kitchen had one job.![]()

Nothing groundbreaking, but a good addition. Especially like the mixed residential they are going with. I feel like these type of townhome developments will help bring families to the urban core, rather than just, singles or couples without children.iamjacobm wrote: Fri Sep 28, 2018 7:46 pm 30 more of these at 33rd and Mason.

These scattered sites and phased developments are tough to track! This project keeps changing addresses as the lots are resized.
From what I have found the little row house developments are are about 74% complete. Assuming this is correct
26 yet to break ground
24 in progress 2019

16 Done in 2017

In any event it has been an interesting project to track.

Great synopsis. It's wonderful to have this kind of quality density added to urban Omaha.

Re: Leavenworth Rows - an Urban Pocket Neighborhood
Hello,
My wife and I have been watching these condos since the summer. I'd love to talk to someone who lives in one, or who knows more about them. I have been able to view three of them (the one at 3127 California, one of the smaller 1100 sq foot ones in the Mayberry/Leavenworth area, and the re-sale one at 815 S 31st which is a great deal but is assessed about $100k more than the asking price thanks to Douglas County.) My wife is a former real estate agent and works for an appraiser now, so home values are what she deals with all day long, every day. We are currently selling our house by owner in northern Bellevue (it's a small, high end new construction) because we want to be more in an urban part of Omaha where you can walk to things. Anyway, I'm interested in these but I worry about lack of space, small living rooms, high price/over-valuation of taxes, etc. Also neighborhood safety - how well-lit are they at night, etc...
I think it's a little weird that these developments were marketing heavily and all over the internet up until about where these posts stop. It seems like the development may be stalled? And prices have gone up? I'm just hoping the development continues to thrive and they haven't lost money on it or bit off more than they can chew.
If anyone has intel or insight, please email me: timothy DOT a DOT knowles AT gmail DOT com.
Thanks!

I’m fascinated by this project in terms of how long they’ve stayed on the market, and yet are still building these same type of styled places in the urban areas around town (Saddle Creek, Aksarben, Dundee) Even just down the street on Park Ave they have some popping up.

Yeah, I agree. I really wish there were a better way to get info on these. They just switched realtors too. From Better Homes to Berkshire.

Re: Leavenworth Rows - an Urban Pocket Neighborhood
I've noted the construction on these rowhouses has slowed. They are finishing up their current buildings and have not started the foundation of any others. Does anyone know if they are still planning to build all of their planned homes? I wonder if they are having financial difficulties, as per comments earlier in the thread

Idk what it says, but the ones off of California St. have been on the market for a while now, and none of them appear to have been sold yet either

I don't know if these are related, but more townhomes are being built in this area at 33rd and Mason, southwest corner. 18 units on what used to be 4 city lots. Nice density for the area and will be valuable when UNMC expands.

Per the city document the 18 townhomes are no longer in the works. The tracts will be recombined and a 42 unit building will be built. The address is 1002 S 33rd Street.ita wrote: Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:22 pm I don't know if these are related, but more townhomes are being built in this area at 33rd and Mason, southwest corner. 18 units on what used to be 4 city lots. The apartments being built next to the trail are different. Here's an OWH article about them:
