Monolithic Brewing (120 & Fort)
There's some construction going on at the site. Noticed after leaving the vet office. There's a liquor license notice on the window, I didn't get out to see who it was.
Anyone know?

Hope they do some light beers. Was in AZ last week and while they still sell the bug spray flavored IPAs like here, a number of the craft brewers are making blondes and other light lagers. Also had a delicious prickly pear wheat done in a Berliner style. Great aroma and hint of prickly pear fruit flavor. Would be great to see the Omaha area break free of the bug sprays and the diabetes in a can beers that we seem saddled with.

Have you tried Dead Man's Run from Cosmic Eye or Tan Limes from Kros Strain? Both might be up your alley.bigredmed1 wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2020 8:58 am Hope they do some light beers. Re: Monolithic Brewing (120 & Fort , former Saints)
I'm over most of the bourbon barrel aged beers. All are too sweet and rich for me. Any more than one in an evening is sickening.
IPAs seemed to have contest for a while on who could have the most IBUs. Some were better at it than others. Too many IPAs taste like the aforementioned bug spray or taste like carbonated Pine-Sol I'm a guy that generally likes IPAs too, but they've been over done. I think for a while they were perceived as the quickest path to "street cred" for craft breweries and too many subpar ones were released.
I'm looking forward to trying Monolithic. I don't make it to that "neck of the woods" very often, but I'll make a special trip to try a new brewery.

Sounds like I will have to give them a try. Nice to see craft breweries in other parts of the country actually making a light and refreshing beer. Around here, mostly I hear them whine about needing to set themselves apart from the big boys. The IPA days are fading away down in AZ. Hope they start to here.Taco wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2020 10:56 amHave you tried Dead Man's Run from Cosmic Eye or Tan Limes from Kros Strain? Re: Monolithic Brewing (120 & Fort , former Saints)
IPA is such a broad style. Saying you don't like IPA is like saying you don't like Music. There are so many styles of music, and the same with IPAs. I am also over the Super IBU bitter IPA beers. These days I have moved over to the other side where I like the really Hazy, Citrus flavored, New England IPAs.
I am a fan of many styles of beers, but really like a good poter, where you can taste the grains.

Monolithic had a Covid issue so they will only do To-Go Crowlers this weekend.

Monolithic Brewing (120 & Fort)
I was going through the brewery list Brad just recently updated and noticed a glaring forum omission-
Monolithic Brewing Brewey/Tap room at 120th and Fort. Like Kros Strain, I’ve enjoyed every single beer from this brewery since they opened sometime either in 2020 or 2021. They’re brewing some great hazy New England style IPA’s, their imperial stout I purchased a Krowler of last fall was awesome..and they have a very nice true to style German Hefeweizen which is extremely refreshing in this hot summertime weather. They don’t can (or bottle) beer as of yet, but you can purchase Krowlers of every beer they brew on their rotating tap list. Their tap room is nice and roomy (they also have outside patio seating) and a decent selection of pub grub food and snacks..
Check the place out! Here is their website link-

I’ll also update Brad’s post in the Brewery thread to include Monolithic…
Ciao..LiO…Peace

I edited you edit... LOL. They actually opened Friday Oct. 23 2020, so I moved it up the list. The list in the brewery thread should be in order of when they opened.
