Can someone point me to something other than a message board post about an Oregan Nebraska game? I have searched and found nothing and in fact found very little on message boards.
It was a World Herald article. Can't go hunt it down because well I got stuff to do!
Georgia Tech might be a pretty bad team. I am going to guess that Nebraska wins today.

GT is a mixed bag, a couple losses with a win against Kentucky. Kentucky is struggling this year though (they did play Kansas as well as Creighton did, actually they led for a lot more of the game).
I will take a win if we can get it but am not confident enough to predict it.
Creighton is a 14 point favorite over Nebraska tomorrow. That is one tough bet because it sounds about right. I would bet on Creighton to cover.
A $10 bet on Nebraska to win straight up would pay out close to $100. Sounds good but it more then likely is a bad bet as the chances of Nebraska beating Creighton have got to be about none!

Yeah I think it’s low. For whatever reason this game always means way more to Creighton. Here’s an article on it:

AS a Husker fan I will agree that it MAY mean a little more to the Jays but in reality, it has been since forever when the Jays have not been straight up the better team. In most years the gap hasn't even been close.

I absolutely agree. Most years the talent has swung Creighton's way. It's just that for whatever reason, the Husker coaches and players never seem to be as engaged in the game as CU's. I understood it when Creighton was in the Valley and had limited games against Power 5 schools. Even now though with CU in Big East 2 Electric Boogaloo which just about a Power 5 they are still as engaged in this game as ever. Hopefully Hoiberg and crew take it more seriously.

IF Hoiberg is finally the one to get this thing heard in the right direction ( and I think he is) the taking the CU game seriously will come along with it. IT is hard to admit it but I think the last few Husker coaches had written it off as a loss before it was even tipped off and that played into it. They may have felt that way about some Conf games too but the fact that they are conf games helped some.

This is a Husker road game and a Jays home game. Why is it on the B1G network?
I missed this earlier. I did think it was weird that it was on BTN even though we were on the road.
Greg
The game was produced by NET, I think they have a pretty good relationship with the BTN, most likely why they picked it up.
Just very unusual for the game to be not part of the home team's TV agreements.
I just learned elsewhere that this was originally a home game for Nebraska in the rotation. Both schools agreed to move it to Omaha because at the time they agreed to do this there was a better chance that some fans could be in the stands in Omaha vs. Lincoln. This would make sense as to why the B1G network had the game. I didn't fact check this!

Were up to 2 losses in a row and it could turn into 10 losses in a row real easy. No more wins in sight. We have not seen much good coming out of Hoiberg yet.

I've heard the same thing, and that next year's game will be in Lincoln to reset the rotation.

Yeah we are 5 games into conference play before we play a team that is not currently ranked. We should have Andre back for conference play, Walker will be when we are deep into.
It could be a very ugly start. As you see point spreads please post. Think the first 4 will all be double digits?
Huskers add game Thursday against Doane to replace earlier game they didn’t play against Florida A and M. BTN will televise. Their first Big 10 game moved back from 12/22 to 12/33.

12/33 ? So it is canceled? ;)

It's 2020, so the year will not be ending on 12/31....
Eduardo Andre's (center) first game is tonight, as is transfer Trevor Lakes (shooting guard).
With adding this game, it's one game closer to getting Derrick Walker back. The NCAA has also reduced his suspension again to 11 games. He's now scheduled to play against Purdue, January 5.
It looks like they are not even taking bets on the Nebraska vs Doane game tonight. I would assume that means Nebraksa could win this game by 40 points!

Yeah I would imagine you are correct. This thing has the potential to get ugly.

It's crazy but the game will be televised on BTN.

BTN + is who is carrying it. It is the Subscription streaming side. Not on BTN as you normally think of it.

Ok thanks, that makes a heck of a lot more sense. Do you have a subscription? I can't remember anything I would have looked for previously that wasn't on regular TV BTN, but then again, have looked at what BTN plus carries.

NO, I do not. I did a couple of years ago on a month by month during the baseball season when a lot of games where on there one year. I think for the month it is $9 - 10 month with a discount for annual payment. A lot of Olympic type sports on there.

Wisconsin playing at home is favored by 17 points tonight over Nebraska. Its not the safest bet in the world but yeah Wisconsin should easily win by 20!
If you bet 10 dollars on Nebraska to actually win the game you would collect $100. That would be a very risky bet as it would seem Nebraska has no chance here.

Thanks for posting was wondering how big the spread was. 5 out of the next 6 games for NU are against ranked opponents. Welcome to the Big 10 in 2020-21.....
Nebraska hung with Wisconsin for a half but in the second half Wisconsin broke the Huskers spirit with relentless consistency that the Huskers could not keep up with. It is too soon to form an opinion about this new husker team yet but they are clearly better then last years team.

I would agree. I am assuming we will pretty much be a underdog in every conference game this season except maybe Northwesterrn. Although NW might be better than expected. They just beat #12 Michigan State by 14. Actually Nebraska might be double digit underdog in many games.

Michigan is an 8 point favorite over Nebraska on Christmas day. Michigan should be a good bet to cover the points.
As a fan I never bet on or against Nebraska (and I really on bet sports on the occasional Vegas trip). That being said, totally agree, I think the smart money would be on Michigan giving 8. Really surprised it’s not at least double digits.

A little 20 dollar bet on Michigan won't make or break me but it is guaranteed to make the game more interesting. About the same time as the Nebraska game is the Saints vs Vikings and the Nets vs Celtics so viewership of the Nebraska game could be sparse.
But NU Teddy Allen is doing most of the scoring for Huskers --- he has 21 of the 32 points and Huskers are 2-10 from 3 pt land. That ain't going to win games.

Another strong first half, followed by an extended cold streak in the 2nd. Nebraska dug itself too big of a hole at the start of the second half.
