Nebraska is a 13 1/2 point underdog at Ohio State on Wednesday. Ohio State is a pretty good bet more then likely. We have seen this Husker team hang with the good teams for awhile but they so far have yet to seriously compete for a win against a good team. Not heading in a good direction at all.

I thought against Michigan they hung with them most of the game. There are no easy games this year in the Big 10. So far the league has lived up to the hype.

Isaiah Roby was the 1 player at Nebraska in the past 5 years that looked like he could play in the NBA someday. Last night playing for the Thunder he scored 19 points with 7 rebounds. If he could play like this consistently he would become famous real fast. The biggest problem he had at Nebraska was he could be real hot and real cold.

That's awesome. Cool to see him on a NBA roster.

At least they solved the problem of having one bad half. Last night they had two.

Yeah I always look for the positives, but I really couldn’t find any for this game.

Michigan State is a 8 1/2 point favorite over Nebraska tonight. Michigan State should beat Nebraska by 15 to 20 points easy! Nebraska is incredibly weak at the Center position allowing most teams to dominate on the inside offensively.

Yeah another day another ranked opponent, Michigan State at 17. I am surprised the point spread is single digits.

NU will get help in the middle as Tennessee transfer Derrick Walker will be eligible against Purdue.

The bookies inVegas set the spreads to balance their books. In sports betting, they want the same amount on both sides of the question. Not like horse racing where you can even out the sides by lowering the payouts.

The realistic point spread would lower the number of people betting in general and esp the number betting against Michigan. If the Huskers have to beat a 17 point spread, they could still lose by 15 and you would win. No one would take that.

The huskers have a rep as having a lot of emotional fans who bet red no matter what. If you need to balance the books, setting an unrealistic spread makes it easy to take a bunch of money from these people.

NU's Tuesday night game at Purdue has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date by the Big Ten.

"The universities mutually agreed to the postponement out of an abundance of caution surrounding the health and safety of the student-athletes, coaches and staff," the schools announced in a joint release.

One of the teams has an outbreak of the "V" most likely. Right now the details are being snuffed out and buried so we are being left to ponder. It would appear that someone may be hiding the facts and being less then transparent which in my mind points the finger straight at Nebraska. I know our mode of operation down there in Lincoln. We got the "V" and may be missing a couple of games is where this is going.

We should know which team based on if another game by either is postponed.

I agree. Didn't see yesterday's game, but in other games with the exception of Ohio State they have looked so much better than they have in years.

Would have loved to have caught yesterday's game to see the debut of Derrick Walker.

They look better then last year but they are still a huge drop off from any of the teams coached by MIles. Any of the Mile's teams would of whipped this Nebraska team easy! This team has lost 5 games in a row with no sign what so ever of winning even one game anytime soon. If they were going to sneak in a win the Indiana game was one of their best opportunities and they could not cash in on it. We needed to get rid of Miles but it looks like we have got ourselves into a coach that is clearly even worse.

Not sure what I'm watching here either but I feel like the Nebraska basketball program is in even more trouble now then it was under Miles.

Last season the one guy Nebraska recruited that looked like he had potential was Yvan Ouedraogo. He mostly stunk last year but at just 18yrs old and 6ft 9in the chance was there that he could grow into something someday. This season when he came back I did not see any growth and he is a weak link I don't think he is going to work out. He appears to be the player that tested positive with the Covid which explains why he did not play in the Indiana game.

Eventually it needs to be backed up with wins but I definitely think Hoiberg is upgrading the program from where it was under Miles.

AS of about 8 AM this morning it was not. I would not expect anything to be canceled until shortly before the voting team travels for any B1G teams.

After 12 members of the Nebraska men’s basketball team — including coach Fred Hoiberg — recently tested positive for COVID-19, the program on Sunday extended its pause of basketball activities at least another week.

Risky business indeed getting all those players infected. Getting the coach with a heart condition infected was the last thing we wanted to see. All that risk for a team that may not win another game this season :what: Huskers need to take their time and get well and if they don't make it back for a couple of more weeks so be it.

Yeah this could be an extended break. The good thing is, if everyone comes out OK, there will be a big chunk within the basketball program with the antibodies.

Huskers game against Penn State on 30th postponed. Right now our next game is scheduled for February 3rd at Michigan State.

I think this is the furthest out from a game that one has been canceled.

Obviously that really won't matter to Nebraska since we aren't going to the postseason this year but that could really impact the Big 10 standings. If I am one of the better teams in the conference I would not be happy if we don't get to play Nebraska (pretty much a guaranteed win) and the others we are fighting with in the standings do. A truly unbalanced schedule both in terms of who they play and total number of games.

Pretty interesting article on Covid with Coach Hoiberg and the team. With his heart issues that was a pretty serious thing he had to contend with. By the article it was very widespread within the program.

Michigan St at home against the Huskers started out today as a 10 1/2 point favorite and is now up to an 11 point favorite. The last time Nebraska won a game was against Doane back in mid December. Michigan State has lost 4 games in a row and is looking to be one of the worst teams in the BIg 10. This could be a war between two bad teams but I think Nebraska will come out cold after being off due to the Covid for a month. I think Michigan will cover the points.
