The Jays are #15 in the AP poll...not quite as high as I thought they might be but there were 3 teams that jumped them as well.

Still not quite sure how Iowa, a team that is only 6-4 in their past 10 games is still ranked #8.

Interesting..

Oklahoma moved up 15 spots to #9 in the AP.. Defeating Alabama gave them a ton of cred I guess. I wonder if the Jays will get the same consideration if they defeat Villanova in a couple weeks...

I saw that Oklahoma had beaten Kansas ( then#15) Texas (then #5) and Alabama (then #10) in their last 3 games. Those wins might account for the big jump.

Yes those were big wins, but I am not convinced they should move up that much...they also had a 22-pt defeat to Xavier earlier this season.

I do hope that Creighton plays well and even beats Nova.

The "what have you done for me lately" polls. Not too surprised to see Oklahoma shoot up.

Not too sure on Iowa, probably due to perceived conference strength.

Ultimately I think Creighton is right where they should be at this point.

Creighton coming in at #12 in the Coaches poll, so about where I thought they would be in that one.

That’s a pretty impressive string of wins for OU..But man, that was a big jump..

The Jays have 8 games left and no Big East conference game is a “gimme”. 2 against ‘Nova..

In the end, If the Jays take care of business on the court, the polls will take care of themselves. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed

CU can grab a 4 or even a 3 seed in the tournament...

Creighton is favored by 14 points tonight over Georgetown. That is a lot of points and that is why my 20 bucks is on Georgetown.

Wow.. Another PATHETIC first half performance by the Jays..

They’re getting punked on their home court by Georgetown. Lousy, lazy defense.. The Hoyas can’t seem to miss 3 point shots..

Good to see DJ back into the game after what looked like a bad injury. Nice 8-2 run at the end of the half. 44-39 Georgetown at the half. As bad as CU has played, they’re fortunate to only be down 5..

Time for the Jays, once again, to pull their heads out in the 2nd half...

Well, I have no words. At the end of the day, the Jays simply got outplayed and out hustled by Georgetown..

Let’s marinate on that- the Hoyas are a losing team. There are no gimmes in the conference, I know. But CU’s performance was embarrassing. 15 turnovers adds to the sickening play. Lazy defensive performance and again- unable to consistently hit free throws. After tonight, I’ve completely lowered my expectations for the Jays..

This team is too inconsistent to trust.and just can’t nail an important shot with any consistent confidence. Just inconsistent, lousy shooting. CU has been playing on borrowed time and Georgetown taught them an embarrassing lesson- at home and during the pinkout game..

7 games left. I hope the Jays can finish 4-3. But I’m not confident of that..AT ALL..Especially with 2 of those 7 remaining against a superior Villanova team..

86-79 Georgetown..

As a Jays fan, I’m sick to my stomach...

7-0 against the top half of the conference, 2-4 against the bottom half.

This team is so soft...I don't know what will light a fire under them, but they have got to find something.

They simply just aren't as good as they think they are. They are not consistent and they frequently play down to their competition. Then, they have glimpses of brilliance that makes everyone, including myself, giddy...only to take a dump the next game.

On the radio broadcast, Brody Deren stated, several times, that the Jays looked like a “tired team”. I’d say there is truth to that. In the pre game interview, coach Mac referred to how tough this season has been on the players.. This is not a good sign..

The Jays seem to be melting under conference pressure. I hate to overreact, but I look at their remaining 7 games, and think they’d be fortunate to win 3 of them..and back into the NCAA tournament as a low seed...

Yes, this team is hard to figure out.

I wish that we had a back up point guard. Reef brings absolutely nothing on offense, it is such a drop off from Z.

Not giving up on this season yet, but I am excited about the incoming class of TyTy, Mason Miller, Christofilis and Nembhard.

I can see the team being tired, but so is every other team....they are all going through the same thing, some teams have been much worse and not been able to practice.

I just don't know what the excuse is, but they need to clean it up and play with fire the rest of the way.

Marquette and GU are up next, both teams that CU shouldn't have lost to the first time. Interested to see how the Jays respond.

But the reality is, this team simply has not exhibited the confidence and consistency required of a top 8 seeded team which qualifies for the NCAA tournament. Perhaps the Jays can turn it around. I hope so..

But I come back to- “if it walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck”..Well.. We know how that ends...

Not saying this year's team is comparable to last years but I just went back to look at the schedules.

Last year: 13-5 lost against Georgetown and lost 3 of last 4. Went on to win 9 of next 10 and 11 of 13

Also remember last year....losing by 31 to San Diego St..

Unfortunately, I’m not sensing a similar run for this year’s team. They just play so inconsistent and have issues shooting from the perimeter and free throw line..Not to mention lack of hustle, lazy defense and silly, untimely turnovers..

Like I said, I hope coach Mac and the team can turn this around..

But, I have a bad feeling about this...

Hopefully the Jays can play some D today....the past few matchups with Marwuette have been high scoring affairs. If they can at least play a little D today, I like Creighton's chances in repaying Marquette for the loss early in the season.

Creighton is a 4 1/2 point favorite today at 9-9 Marquette. Its hard to guess if good shooting Creighton is going to show up or bad shooting Creighton is going to show up. If bad shooting Creighton shows up and they are going to lose. Not a safe game to bet on that is for sure.

Great end to the 1st half on a 7-0 run to take a 38-33 lead. The team seems to be playing with a little more passion today. Already 7 offensive rebounds to 1 for Marquette. Hopefully the Jays can come out strong to start the 2nd half.

Jays squeak out a win 71-68. I have been really hard on Shereef Mitchell, but he played amazing D on the last possession to force Marquette into a tough shot.

This game should have been a 10-15 pt win....Jays were up 68-60 but couldn't put the nail in the coffin.

It would have sucked to get swept by Marquette..

The Jays got sloppy down the stretch and almost let this game slip away. But happy with the win. And glad to see DJ with a nice, bounce back performance with 13 points and 8 rebounds..

The loss revenge tour continues.. Next up- Georgetown...
