Creighton is a 7 1/2 point favorite tonight at Georgetown. Creighton going in there and beating them by 8 points might be expecting a bit too much. I would bet on Georgetown.

Yes, depends which Creighton team shows up. I do hope the Jays come out with intensity, as they have lacked that a ton in the 1st half of games lately. I think Zegarowski needs to come out and set the tone early. I still don't think he is back to form from last year. It would be nice to see him drive a finish a little more, but it is embarrassing how few of calls he gets when driving, considering he was Big East Pre-Season Player of the Year.

Much improved D compared to the Georgetown game last week. Jays have 11 steals and GU has 13 TOs in the 1st half.

Jays up 12 and if a few more 3's would have fallen, should be up by 18.

Need the Jays to come out strong to the start the 2nd half and this game should be ours.

Nice “loss revenge tour” blowout victory for the Jays..

Very strange game. Had the Jays hit their perimeter shots, this could have been a 35-40 point CU victory.. Tough offensive game for Denzel..He simply could not hit a perimeter shot..But his defensive performance and effort was excellent..as was the entire Jays team. This might have been CU’s best defensive performance of the season. But the Hoyas simply could not throw the ball in the ocean either..Pathetic shooting performance for Georgetown..

The Jays are now 7-1 on the road in the Big East. Pretty darn impressive..

The “loss revenge tour” is placed on a brief hold.. Big game Saturday afternoon against Villanova. The Jays need to have a better perimeter shooting game against the Wildcats..

Added note- The Jays set a school record with 19 steals in this game. Unreal..

Glad to get the win when we shot horrible.

Mahoney and Z combined for only 14 pts.

Bench was horrible again: (didn't need them much tonight, but the fouls and TOs are not good.

6 pts, 8 fouls, 8 TOs, 3-12 shooting.

They did that about a month ago vs Hall.

Another crazy number- the Jays outscored Georgetown 38-12 in the paint. Christian Bishop has been on a tear in the post recently- tonight 8-11 shooting and almost a double-double..

My hope is that a perfect storm can come together this Saturday afternoon/evening, and the Jays play their most complete game of the season against Jay Wright and Villanova..

Bishop has been our best player in the past 4 games...at least 14 pts and 6 reb each game.

Before tonight he is also #3 in the nation in FG %.

He has turned into a solid player with some good post moves.

I wish Mahoney would drive more often as he usually scores or draws fouls when he does.

Yeah.. This really felt like the weirdest game of the year. It makes you wonder how the Jays lost to this same Georgetown team in Omaha less than 1 week ago..

In any case, also wanted to give credit to DJ, who really set the tone in the beginning of the game as the Jays jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never trailed...

Villanova comes to Omaha ranked 5th and a 2 point favorite over Creighton. I wont be betting this one. Something tells me that Creighton is going to win it.

Just turned on the game, can they please use current video when showing the outside and downtown. The shot still showed the crane for the Marriott hotel. Has to be 2-3 years ago at least.

Jays played almost perfect in the first half...up by 6 (lead was 10 with 2 min to go).

At one point they were shooting 75% from the field. Cooled off a bit towards the end of the half, but still a great fist half.

This team is fun to watch when they are locked in....all 5 starters can give you huge numbers. I have been a CU fan since 2003 and they have never had this complete of a team.

All the years I’ve been a fan of this team (since the Rick Apke days of the 70’s)..I have to agree. If/when this team hits all cylinders, they will be extremely difficult to play with, let alone defeat..

Now, a decent week plus break to get some minor injuries healed up.. and get some rest for those legs...

I’ve been thinking about that..

But that team meeting after the Georgetown loss was all about accountability..

I think it will be more of a positive getting healed and rested up. The character of this team was tested after the miserable home loss to the Hoyas..and the team has responded. I’d like to think that will carry the Jays quite a long way...

Not certain, beyond finding a DII/Lower Division opponent, if that is possible.

And Right! Makes me feel a bit better..although the Jays struggled mightily to beat DePaul a couple weeks back.. I really think that team meeting after the ugly home Georgetown loss will pay them dividends..

I noticed at the beginning of those highlights, like I mentioned the "live" outside is old...it also still shows Ricks on the riverfront. My guess is that is 4 years old at least. I don't know how hard it would be to take a camera outside and take a 5-10 sec shot.

When I was chatting with my father on the phone after the game, we were talking about that. At least they didn't show an empty cornfield that I saw (although could have missed it if they did I suppose)

I thought the opening shot looked dreary and unappealing. True though, at least they didn’t show a cornfield or cows, lol.. But still, I agree, a nice skyline shot from the actual day of the game would have been appealing. ESPN never seems to have that problem around CWS time...
