Be interesting to see what 4 teams they send to Lincoln if they get it? I'm sure ticket sales will still be strong though even with UNL out if it.

There is so much of my memorys of watching and listening to VanHorn when I listen or watch Bolt is is scarry. Love where we are at wit a staff right now.

Got tickets to this weekend's game for both Sat and Sun and I am in row 5 right behind home plate for both games,should be fun!

Huskers swept by Rutgers at home. It's been years since that happened. No way to but any sort of positive spin on that.

Yeah I heard we were up early 6 - 0 and had prematurely chalked it up as a win. Glad we were able to finally finish it.

I don't think anyone saw a 4 game sweep of the pod weekend. Now they need to finish off Mich at home to get into tourny play on a high note.

You know, it's funny. When I was a kid, Nebraska and Michigan were football powerhouses. I wonder if they're baseball powerhouses now?

Not yet but I do like the direction we are headed under Bolt. Michigan is closer with their recent deep run in the CWS.

Maybe some day, it'll come down to Nebraska and Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament to decide the championship? How about that?

On another note, was there ever a time when Nebraska was in the Big 12 that it came down to them and Oklahoma in the Big 12 Tournament to decide the champion?

Nebraska with a very very tough draw. Heading to Arkansas regional which includes #1 overall seed.

Big 10 gets 3 teams in, with Nebraska, Maryland and Michigan.

Hilarious all the whining I'm seeing (not here, but on Facebook, and now Tom Shatel) about Nebraska being in the Arkansas regional. How about NU worries about Northeastern first. AND, it's astronomical odds, but Nebraska won't face Arkansas IF Nebraska wins every game AND IF somehow Arkansas astronomically loses twice (first in opening round and then in loser bracket)

NU opens against Northeastern tonight. I am hopeful with Bolt we get the win tonight. Nebraska being Nebraska, it would not be out of the question to lose to Northeastern after a week where our fans spent a big chunk of the week complaining about having to play Arkansas.

Yes, it would be pretty silly IF Nebraska lost to Northeastern, then to NJIT in loser bracket after all the complaining about maybe having to play Arkansas.

Not all of the fans have been complaining. I sure haven't. Go Play Win. That is what they need to do. They would be hosting this weekend if they hadn't gotten rolled by Rutgers.

There are a lot of fans complaining, I will give you that. I do not think the team or coaches are looking at it the same way and I believe they are focused. They sure could lose the Friday game but I don't think it will be for lack of focus or effort.

Yep I agree. I wasn't complaining but did think we got a tough draw. I love how the team has handled it. It's been the vocal minority doing a lot of the sqawking.

Yeah I was really worried as it got to 4-0. It wasn’t just that we were losing but seemed to be imploding. Wheels seemed to be falling off. Hats off to the players and coaches for fighting through it and turning it around.

When we got thrown out at the plate in the 8th, then Northeastern got 2 on in the 9th it was a little unnerving.

I hear you, when they got that 2 runs late I kinda wondered if the tides had turned back. We'll see what happens against Ar-Kansas tonight, could be interesting.

Yeah that's Max Anderson. Doesn't sound like he can play. NU just couldn't get anything going offensively. Weird strike zone that seemed to frustrate both head coaches.

I don't follow baseball much until the CWS. Just checked in and the Skers are hanging in there in the regional championship trailing by 1 run at bottom of 5th.

So if they win this game, they play Arkansas again? And if they win again then they're in the CWS? That would be pretty cool. Has to have been a while.
