Project Beron

Post by Somedude »

Looks like Amazon is moving forward with another warehouse located at the NW corner of highways 275 and south 24th street. Currently it's a 270,000 SF warehouse - It won't be as big as the one in West Omaha.

Bigger thank which one out west, the "Fulfillment Center" or the "Last Mile Warehouse"? Assuming this is another Last Mile Warehouse and not a second fulfillment center.

Project Willa - Highway 50 & Highway 370 (Fulfilment Center) = 823,175 SQ FT (4 Floors).
Project Romeo - 132nd and Cornhusker (Last Mile Warehouse) = ??? SQ FT.
Project Viking - North 72nd Street (Last Mile Warehouse) = 141,360 SQ FT.
Project Beron - Highway 274 & South 24th Street - CB (Last Mile Warehouse) = 270,000 SQ FT.

I had heard the CB one was originally last mile and is now a true fulfillment. Been a couple months since I talked about this with a source though.

Just a quick update. I see they have started moving earth moving equipment in. I was talking to the contractor and he said they are going to tear the old foundation out. That should take a while!

Wasn't this site supposed to have been some kind of cold storage?

I live fairly close to the site, they moving dirt and working like crazy since brining in equipment on Sunday. Since this a fulfillment center now, does anyone know if they own all the ground along S. 24th from Veterans Hwy to Downing Ave, or just at the corner by the highway?

There are two lots north of them:
East owned by: C F REALTY GROUP LLC
West owned by: KREJCI, FRANK R TRUST

The Amazon lot is owned by 80/29 ACCESS LLC

I am pretty sure they are in the process of closing on the 2 parcels to the north and the 1 west along Richard Downing.

Thank you for the info sir. Wasn't sure if they owned it all and where just clearing the old concrete slab first, or if they just owned then plot on the corner.

Amazon unveils same-day delivery in Omaha, Council Bluffs metro area
A same-day delivery facility in Council Bluffs will serve customers in a 50-mile radius, Amazon announced Wednesday.

Amazon Same-Day Delivery Site
Amazon announced Wednesday that it has launched a same-day delivery center in Council Bluffs, serving a 50-mile radius. By putting fulfillment, sorting and delivery in a single location, the company says it can get products into customers’ hands even faster.

Amazon Prime members in Council Bluffs and the Omaha metro area will be able to take delivery of items in a matter of hours, the company says.

The hybrid facility at 3860 24th St. is the first of its kind in the area, and it’s designed for speed,

The facility opened with approximately 200 employees and is still hiring, with starting pay beginning at $19.25 an hour, the company said. Amazon expects the facility to create an additional 100 jobs to maximize its capacity.

Amazon now has four operational facilities in the Omaha region, in addition to a Whole Foods location.
