I am almost certain that the renderings found on HBA's website, are not in fact anything that will come of any fruition (as the renderings show) also, I can assume that HBA will not have any future affiliation with any major part of a development that ricketts may be planning.

I am sure you all saw the news about Joe Ricketts wanting to start a news outlet. Could this possible project be a monument for that new venture? The office tower will be heretofor known as the Straight Arrow Tower.

His previous media company, DNAinfo, which covered local news in Chicago and New York, was solid. It was pretty unbiased and seemed to cover a lot of stuff that may have fallen through the cracks (with regard to Chicago, the Tribune was all about big stories while the local tv affiliates only cared about murder and car crashes). His new media company sounds like it’s the same, but on a National level. I’d be cool with that.

Straight arrow news is off the ground. They have a neat feature that request input on whether a particular story is bias. Anyway, Joe Ricketts is open to remote employees, so a huge HQ is probably not in the cards, at least for now. It's sad this article kept referring to OWH as Omaha News. Hah.

The Cryptic Rumor Department has learned that the possibly of a tall office building with potentially 200-300 feet of height might actually still be alive next to Top Golf by the Westroads. I know this isn’t a sexy downtown highrise rumor; but highrise buildings anywhere in the Omaha metro isn’t a bad thing either. I don’t have any additional intel on this.. Other than I was told the plan is still possibly in play..

The more info I get on this, rest assured, I will pass it on…

Interesting. Last update I've seen on that property was Ricketts selling off a part of the property he purchased to the neighbors next door for more strip mall development and/or parking. Could it be Medical Solutions? They are already right there in Westroads. No residential though? That would be disappointing.

Also worth mentioning - if you click the link to "Holland Basham", they completed work on "Medical Solutions Denver" so I'd be willing to bet that this is the actual location of the new Medical Solutions campus (not downtown)...
