Last weekend I toured Westside High School as part of my 25 Reunion Activities. During the tour, the teacher leading the tour mentioned that there may be some changes coming to the High School Football scene next fall.
1. The new High School on 156th will play its home games at Burke.
2. With Burk having 2 OPS Schools, Prep will likely end up back at Westside like in 2020.
3. All OPS schools will leave the Metro Athletic conference and form their own OPS Only conference.

Probably to allow for each team to play each other in a regular season. However, that certainly changes the situation drastically for Bellevue, Papio and Millard schools.

Yep. It also splits the metro into the burbs and Prep vs the rest of the city.

HS Football in Nebraska doesn't have conferences. All scheduling is done by NSAA and is focused on districts. So if the OPS schools do split off, it wouldn't affect football, just all of the other sports.
