Lied Bridge

Post by WorldStreet »

I return to Omaha each Fall for a few months and I always enjoy seeing new development and visiting places that are new to me. It seems like most people are not familiar with the Lied Bridge. I recently filmed part of it and put it on my Youtube channel, which usually has videos from Asia.

Welcome to the forum. That's a neat bridge. I have wanted to get out there, but never have.

This is very well done - I'll be honest, I had no idea that was down there.

I didn't know this existed either until this summer, but there is a great view of this bridge from the tower next to the lodge at Platte River State Park.

The bridge finally reopened recently. Here is the thread about it:

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have long enjoyed your vivid photos of the Omaha area. Being fairly close to the water makes this bridge fun to visit and also photogenic.

Thank you. Since returning in late August, I have been to the bridge three times, and each time we were the only ones there.
