Baseballl's Home Series with Sacramento State Cancelled

Head coach Ed Servais and the Bluejay administration are actively looking for games with other teams. Presently Creighton returns to action on April 9-11 as the Bluejays begin a four-game weekend series with Villanova in the opening series of BIG EAST play. Friday's contest (April 9) is set for a 6:30 pm first pitch and will be televised on Nebraska Educational Television. (NET).

Baseball Dominates Villanova in BIG EAST Opener

Dylan Tebrake threw seven shutout innings and Creighton's offense pounded five doubles in a 9-2 win against visiting Villanova on Friday night in the BIG EAST opener for both squads.

Baseball's Home Series With Connecticut Canelled Due to Covid Protocols

Creighton's home series with Connecticut (April 16-18) has been cancelled due to COVID protocols within the UConn baseball program.

Head coach Ed Servais and the Bluejay administration are actively looking for games with other teams.

Presently Creighton returns to action on April 23-25 as the Bluejays begin a four-game weekend series at Georgetown.

Bluejay Baseball Adds Three-Game Home Series with San Jose State

The Creighton Baseball program has added a three-game home series with San Jose State beginning Saturday, April 17 at 4:00 pm. The series will continue on Sunday, April 18 at 4:00 pm and conclude on Monday, April 19 at 1:00 pm.

The series with San Jose State came together following the cancellation of the Bluejays' BIG EAST series with Connecticut this weekend due to COVID protocols within the Huskies' program arose.

Creighton baseball administrator fatally shot near 61st and Pratt

A Creighton University baseball administrator was found fatally shot Thursday morning in the yard of a home near 61st and Pratt Streets.

Christopher Gradoville, 37, died from multiple gunshot wounds in the yard of the home, authorities said.

Gradoville was the director of baseball operations at Creighton. He joined Creighton’s baseball staff as its director of operations in the fall of 2020. The former Omaha Bryan standout played for the Jays from 2004 to 2007.

A renter “gunned down” the Creighton baseball administrator who had come to the rental home to make a repair, firing more than a dozen shots, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine said Friday.

“This one particularly, it’s sickening, it’s devastating ... there aren’t words to describe. It’s unimaginable,” he said. “It’s as cold-blooded as you can get.”
