He was good last night. I think Creighton is also going to very happy that they have Ryan Hawkins and his experience this year with all the youngsters.

Agreed. Not only for his experience, but when he settles in I think he is a great shooter and asset.

I know Nembhard is only a Freshman-

But I got Ziggy vibes watching him play last night..and Ryan Hawkins was a HUGE addition to this team…

What a great game for Ryan Hawkins as well. He looks a little lost/slow on D but he gives it his all. Also finally got a couple of 3's to go in.

He is the first Bluejay since Benoit Benjamin to have 3 consecutive 10 rebound games to start a season.

I also agree Nembhard does have a feel like Z, Z was probably a little better shooter, but Nembhard hit some big shots last night.

Right on..and Nembhard should only get better..

Also, just from our small sample size thus far this season, it appears to me Ryan Kalkbrenner has gotten stronger. This Jays need that presence inside…

Kalk has gotten stronger, but he needs to go up a little bit stronger, especially when he faces the big men of the Big East. He had one last night that he should have dunked and instead just layed it up and it fell short.

I'm just thankful that they are slowly gelling as a team it seems. Need to cut down on turnovers, but they're getting there. I think it's the making of something special over the next few years and it's pretty exciting.

And I agree, if Kalk can learn to be a bit more aggressive (but in a smart way), it'll be pretty awesome to see what he is capable of.

The Big East has destroyed the Big 10 in the Gavitt games. The Big East finished 6-2 knocking off 3 ranked Big 10 teams. Just like every other year, the Big East doesn't get their due, and the Big 10 is way overrated.

Very small sample size, and rankings don't matter. Especially this early in the season.

Jays finally put an almost complete game together. Glimpses of what this team will (hopefully) become as they get more experience and get more in-tune with one another has me giddy.

Yes, they cruised from start to finish in this game vs a team that was hanging in there with UNC a week ago.

The only big area of concern was again the TOs. The Jays had 17.

Gotta love thee starting 5 though:

Another nice win for the Jays..They’re showing incremental improvements each game.. 5 players in double figures with Kalkbrenner leading the way- 19 points, 5 rebounds..

The TO’s are concerning though. Need to clean that aspect up for sure…

Seeing the effort from AOC all game was great. Kalk played a bit like the big man down low we need him to be.

I think the T.Os will clean up as the players get more comfortable with each other, and get their timings etc. down.

Damn CSU shot almost 59% from 3 pt. And had 60 points from that area.

Wonder what the record for 3's by an opponent is. We gave up 20 today.

On a positive note, CU won just about every other statistical category except for 3 shooting and assts.

After this game, all 5 starters will be averaging in double digits for the season.
