Yeah, the Union and Carson buildings look really impressive off Dodge.

The main road through Heartwood Preserve is open now to the public it appears. I drove through there today and snapped this pic of what I believe is the Applied Underwriters building. They ain't setting any records putting this building up. It seems like those cranes have been there for at least a year.

If that is the AU building, they probably had extensive work to do below ground. There is no above ground parking, it's all in a garage underneath.

They have been making progress on the framing over the last couple months, but as GrandpaaSmucker alluded to, the project has been slow going overall due to construction delays related to the pandemic and possibly other issues.

I don't remember seeing that. Thanks for posting. That's a pretty large underground garage. I bet that will be nice for the employees working there - no needing to worry about cold and snow/ice in the winter.

It appears another building is going up west of the Applied Underwriters building. I believe their building runs North to south, and the building I see going up that appears to be about the same height looks to be too far away to be part of their "bat wing" shaped building. Any info?

Here are some pics of this project.

Not very good picture, but this is the part of the park that's off 144th. You can the sod they put down. It's basically a bowl, but there are some portions that are flat. Hopefully, they start planting trees and constructing amenities for the park.

Here's a southern view of the Carson and UBT buildings:

I guess it won't look like this anymore. Take a look at the five renderings included with the story. Funny how initial designs and dreams quickly turn into mediocrity at best. I get that times change and these and most other developments change with demand but in my travels around the country I see what other cities' design standards are and wonder about Omaha.

This is still the general plan I think. This specific spot is just a side retail area that’s been in the plans for a while.

I would guess north of the High School as well. It will be nice to finally see what Lanoha has in store for their component and to see what hotel they eventually get.

I believe a significant portion of that is going into the underground parking structure.
