Reading what was said about Anthony during the storm.. funny, I was thinking same... Sean clearly impatient with his manipulating the graphics, hah.

Overall though, liking him.

I actually like how they did the storm coverage today without Bill. It had its hiccups, but to me shows a level of trust, and perhaps a changing of the gaurd coming soon. Like a within the next couple-few years.

First, I want to say, the new weather guy on channel 7 is great. But, I swear, if you just listen to him and close your eyes, he sounds just like "Ladies Man" from Saturday Night Live from awhile ago

KETV is the only station in Omaha to use the same name to identify their newscasts after 40+ years. NewsWatch 7. What if KMTV still called theirs NewsCenter 3 today? Or WOWT still calling theirs Action News?

Since KETV now uses their call letters making them "KETV NewsWatch 7", I bet the others would do the same:
KMTV NewsCenter 3
WOWT 6 Action News

I heard the anchors of Channel 6 News this morning announce that WOWT will be relocating next year, and their existing property will be redeveloped into a condo and apartment structure.

Yeah, that was announced a few months ago. They are moving next door to the old Kiewit building.

I got an update to this NextGen TV stuff. Four Omaha TV stations will start broadcasting the new updated version of digital over-the-air signals through a cooperative agreement to share a tower and transmitter near Gretna. The transmissions are set to begin April 19th.

The topic of televisions markets hasn't come up in a while, but I saw this blog and thought folks here might find it interesting. The author specifically references why Lincoln and Omaha are in separate TV markets, even though we are so close together.

Second local media member to leave the media and head to Law School at UNL. Joe Quinn from AM 590 the the same a couple years ago.

Yes, as I posted previously here on June 25th, David Earl left KETV. He’ll be pursuing a career in law and will be enrolling at UNL Law school starting this fall..

And if that’s true about Waverle Monroe, it is awful and thoughts and prayers to her. She is a local Omaha young lady who is doing a great job at KETV serving her home market- Proudly…

KETV just had a really odd promo during their 6 p.m. news tonight (Saturday) that mentioned Rob, Julie, and Bill Schammert, but not Alexandra Stone. I'm wondering if that may be part of the mystery opening.

I wouldn't have guessed that either. I literally brushed elbows with him a few years ago on a flight to Denver. He has always been a stable and comforting anchor, though I never saw much of him cause he was the morning guy.

WOW has an hour at 4 and then half hour at 5

According to her FB page, she removed the KETV part in her name on August 11. It's odd since there were no announcements or anything as to her leaving. And she does not appear on KETV's website.

I liked her.....saw her as a replacement if Julie ever left.

I beg to differ about the KETV piece as most everyone I see has KETV after their name (screenshot included).

And I think there is more to it than Vonn's response. Brandi Petersen, David Earl and Todd Andrews decided to leave KETV too, but announced their departure. As a manager, I also share that someone quit without more detail.
