UNO Opened up at home this past weekend against Lake St. Played a great game Saturday against lake St but lost in OT. Sunday they shut out Lake state to split the weekend. Have Maine at home this weekend Friday & Saturday @ 7:05pm

Saville gets conference goalie of the week for the second time. It's early in the season, so getting this honor twice already is impressive.

UNO also moves up to #11 nationally. UNO has a history of being ranked higher before Christmas than after. That being said, with Saville's talent and now experience, he's the type of goalie that could spark a deep run in the NCAA tournament.

That is nice. I hope they do more of these. I am just a casual hockey and would love to take my kids, but I don't want to pay much either. As a comparison, I get my Creighton season tickets and they come out to around $10/game (one is child price).

Unfortunately I am already going to the Husker game and Creighton exhibition on Saturday, but let us know if you see any more of these throughout the season please.

Cool moment today at the Baxter. University of Nebraska President Carter took the ice with the team. Apparently a big Hockey fan and played club hockey.

My wife is a teacher and helps UNO students with student teaching so she was able to get $5 tickets for the December 3rd game for us. I will finally be going to my first game at Baxter, after going to so many when they were downtown.

I really like Baxter, no bad seats in the place. My tickets are in 210. My tip on parking would be to park in the garage by Spirit World. Short walk and quick exit.

Truth be told, my favorite venue was the Civic. Incredible sight lines for hockey and the way we were jammed in with the low ceiling it was so loud in there. Baxter is a close second though, venue is great and it's awesome having Ak Sar Ben Village for pre and post game stuff.

I agree, not quite the civic, but a really close second. My biggest gripe is a similar gripe to the CHI Center, those 3 sections in the club area are always so empty. It would be great to have a lot of loud rowdy fans behind the visiting teams bench...

Yeah that was a nice bounce back win after the loss on Friday. St Cloud dominated Friday night, so it was really good to see a different result Saturday.

Was looking at going to a hockey game this weekend but there weren't many seats left in the closest tier on the UNO side. The games I'd gone to earlier this year had pretty scarce attendance - are things changing and more people are going to the games?

Depends. UNO hockey attendance has always been pretty poor prior to the New Year. Everyone is busy with kids sports along with Husker football. After the New Year, football is done and people have room to give hockey some attention. It also comes down to the opponent. This weekend, they are playing Duluth. They are a traditionally strong program who will bring down some fans of their own to help fill the arena. Same happens when North Dakota comes down. If you went to a game against Long Island University in November, it makes sense that there would be a difference.

Also, Covid is still affecting attendance. No matter how you feel on the policy, UNO having a mask mandate, dropping the mandate, and then re-instituting it is also affecting peoples motivations in different ways as to whether they are comfortable going, or staying home. But, that's secondary to the traditional ebbs and flows you see in UNO hockey attendance.

There was a decent crowd tonight (Saturday). I find Attendance always picks up as the season goes on. The last homestand or two usually have the best crowds.

UNO won 5-1 over Duluth tonight. Great to see the win.

My son and I are in this video about 40 seconds in.

I got introduced to UNO's new AD between periods on Saturday night. First impression was seemed like a real nice guy and very personable.
