Rough shooting night, but in the past when Creighton had a rough shooting night in these kinds of games they'd be boatraced by 30. So while the outcome was not what I would have liked, I appreciate the defense and the fortitude the team showed.

Onwards to the tournament and onwards to a bright future.

What a great effort by the Jays, I am sure they are tired, everyone that keeps asking why they kept shooting 3’s when none were falling….they were gassed. But I love that they didn’t give up and fought till the end. Should be an 8/9 seed in the tournament and that is way higher than anyone predicted to start this season!

Villanova Tops Creighton To Win BIG EAST Title

Joyous Villanova players danced near midcourt, decked out in their championship hats and tee shirts. They posed for countless photos, there was a march of Wildcats’ players carrying a giant cardboard sign around the court that read “2022 BIG EAST Tournament Champions.’ Nova players hugged as “I Feel Good” blared over the Madison Square Garden speakers. They danced some more, this time under a blizzard of confetti, they waited for the ladders to come out so they could get on with the ceremonial cutting down of the championship nets and they hoisted the 2022 championship trophy after it was presented to them by BIG EAST commissioner Val Ackerman.

It sure is..I believe before this season started, most of us were hoping for a high seed NIT Tournament bid..

From an NCAA Tournament advancement standpoint, as much as we’d all like to see the higher seeding, I think in this case, the Jays would benefit more from a 10 than an 8/9. But that’s me…

Agreed. The committee didn’t do the Jays any favors with a 9 seeding.. But Marquette, a team CU defeated 3 times this season, also gets in at a 9? That’s a head scratcher

The final poll is out and as always for this year, Creighton gets no respect, they are 37th and that is with making it to the big East championship and losing by single digits and also beating a 4-loss Providence team in dominating fashion. Obviously the polls mean nothing but I figured they would be very close if not in the final AP poll.

Great finish to the half 9-2 run. Cut down on TOs and worked the ball inside. If they can come out and do the same to start the second half, it’s a new ball game.

I have no words..except to say this Jays team has a TON of fighting “Dog” in them. They’re just a tough bunch of hombres with a fantastic group of coaches.. Great win for this program and fans..

Let’s hope Kalk’s injury isn’t as serious as it looked when he went down…

A great comeback to win, but I've never seen a team lose so many point guards and centers with injuries during the past six years. Losing Kalk is a big loss as I think that he had become Creighton's best player (at least most consistent) during the past month. They are also now down to six players that have been in the rotation. Can they play a game with six players or will someone new get some playing time?
