Creighton vs. San Diego State - First Round NCAA tournament extended highlights

Creighton went on a 9-0 run at the end of regulation to force overtime, where they took down San Diego State, 72-69, to advance to the second round of the 2022 men's NCAA tournament.

Not sure as of yet how severe Kalkbrenner’s knee injury is, but I fear the worst..as Mac said- it didn’t look good in the post game presser..Such a tough break for him..

I hope for a speedy recovery; and also hope he’ll be ready for the start of the 2022-23 season…

Some good news regarding Kalk’s injury- Mac Tweeted it wasn’t as bad as expected, he’ll only need 2 to 3 months to recover..so he should be ready to go for next season..but obviously will miss the game tomorrow vs Kansas…

That is good news for Kalk, still sucks for the team that he is going to be out for the tourney, but happy for him to be ready for next season.

Gunna need Feazell to be ready to play some big minutes.

BIG EAST Rookie of the Year Can't Play Due to a Broken Wrist

He was the runaway winner of the BIG EAST’s Freshman of the Year award despite missing the final three games of the regular season and the BIG EAST Tournament after suffering a broken wrist in a win at St. John’s on Feb. 23.

So now Ryan Nembhard finds himself thrust into the role of cheerleader, helper and being another coach on the bench for Creighton as the Bluejays prepare to make their NCAA Tournament run with a Thursday evening matchup with San Diego State in Fort Worth, Texas.

I’m so proud of this team.. The Jays hung tough, despite all the injuries and the 6 man rotation, they we’re still only down 1 point with under 2 minutes left.. Great job coaching by a Mac and the staff..The players showed true grit..

Can’t wait to see the next chapter of our Jays team for 2022-2023…

With the mash unit we had to send out, while I am sad we came so close and didn't win, I am very proud of this team's fight.

What a game…I was expecting a 25 pt loss but once again the team stuck together and played hard.

I am so proud of this team. What a fun season!

Great game - they could be very good next if they can find replacements for Hawkins and O’Connell and build a supportive bench. I think I had heard at one time Kansas bench had scored 23 pts to the Jays 0

They kept mentioning the bench points which in a game like this was totally pointless, we already knew Creighton would only be playing 6 guys

Yeah, I found that pretty pointless and ridiculous too..

I’m really optimistic about next season. It has the potential to be the Jays best campaign yet…

That was a legit win. Saw Iowa women a few times this year and thought they were really really good.
