It's great to see Nebraska win. But they have to do better than only 3-9 or 4-8.

A win is a win, yes. I'll take it. But since I only listened to it, how did they perform? I have a couple questions... Do you think they would have won without the fumbles? As far as I can see, the fumbles gave them nice short fields on those scores. All points aside from the first touchdown were a result of the short fields off the fumbles. I know they're part of the game, but they don't really tell much about how a team performed. Were the fumbles forced? Were they good heads-up plays, or were they kinda just Iowa dropping the ball? I think the Huskers were fortunate because despite the three fumbles, they didn't really move the ball much on their own.

Oh yeah, and that makes the Northwestern, Georgia Southern, Wisconsin, Purdue, and even Minnesota losses sting that much more. THAT freakin close to having two more wins out of those, and going to a bowl game, and potentially Mickey getting the job.

They also had multiple dropped interceptions (with Nebraska being the defense dropping the interception).

Long story short, the won. Trying to piece together how they could have lost seems pointless.

There was a time when going 8-4 was considered a disappointment. But now if Nebraska can get there, it'll be considered a dream come true. How far we've fallen.

A wins a win, this was not vintage Iowa. Hopefully this win will make the next 8 months not seem so long. It looks like Matt Rhule will be the next Head Coach. Maybe this win today is a sign of good things to come for Nebraska. It's been a while since Nebraska ended the season with a win.

I'm happy for the players and coaches. I hope Mickey gets a Head coaching job soon, the guy deserves more time as a HC. He did an outstanding job at Nebraska, but I think Nebraska wants to hire a someone with more Head coaching experience. As one of the things Scott Frost lacked was significant Head coaching experience.

No doubt it was a win, and I'm glad for it. It just didn't really feel all that great because they nearly pi$$ed it away. Cause I couldnt watch it, I'm interested in the feel of it. And on the other hand, looks like its a fresh staff coming in anyway, so it probably wont transfer much to next season anyway.

And I'm (half-jokingly) kinda bitter they couldnt win a single game that I watched. I took eight Saturdays off this fall for the sole purpose of watching Husker football. Not one win.
Obviously I'm disappointed in that respect, but recognize maybe I'm a bad omen haha.

Iowa had a chance to get to the Big Ten Championship game for the second year in a row yesterday. But since they lost to Nebraska, that ain't happening. Instead, it will be Purdue and Michigan playing for the Big Ten Championship.

I've seen a lot of complaining about him winning the Heisman. Don't know why. Maybe character is in question after the thing he wrote on his fingers before Utah whooped him? Real big deal. Aside from that, statistically it's not even close.

Luke McCaffrey Is Out at Louisville: Could He Return to Nebraska?
From a compliance standpoint, it appears to be a "maybe" situation for the former Husker quarterback.

After roughly a week at his new home, former Nebraska quarterback Luke McCaffrey is on the move again.

Louisville head coach Scott Satterfield said in an interview with Drew Deener on 93.9 The Ville Wednesday morning that McCaffrey has left the program. Satterfield noted that McCaffrey participated in “three or four” summer workouts and decided to leave in search of a place where he could come in right away and be the starting quarterback.

Saw an article about the McCaffrey family so looked up what Luke was doing at Rice. He switched to WR fro QB last year and had 58 catches for 728 yards and so far this year, he has 36 receptions for 613 yds and 7 TD

Luke McCaffrey ended up being drafted by the Washington Commanders this year and made the team.

I suppose Kiffin is worth consideration but I think he's a bit more of a risky hire than a slam dunk. Also would he bolt after a couple of mediocre seasons for somewhere like LSU when Kelly inevitably gets fired.

Kelly isn’t going anywhere! heck, Kiffin might get the Auburn job just to stick it to Saban at least once a year or he could also be going to the NFL again. However, when Frost was fired, Kiffins name was one that came to mind and I thought it was interesting that he was never a name that I saw mentioned in the early projections.

Kiffin was supposedly interested in the LSU job. As for Kelly, he under performed at N.D. and the expectations at LSU are just as high. Furthermore the SEC is much more competitive than N.D.'s usual schedule. If he last longer than 3 seasons I'll be shocked.
