No they have not, don't know if there are privacy issues or not, but just glad that he is back.

Hopefully he has a little more energy after being off for the past few weeks. If it was mono, I know that can have pretty lasting effects and be pretty draining.

Ryan Kalkbrenner Guides Four Bluejays in Double Figures to 78-56 Win Over Butler

OMAHA, Neb. – Junior Ryan Kalkbrenner returned to the court and led four Bluejays in double-figures with 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting as the Creighton men's basketball team defeated Butler 78-56 on Thursday, Dec. 22. The win lifted Creighton to 7-6 on the season and 1-1 in BIG EAST play, snapping a six-game losing streak, while Butler fell to 8-5 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The home has now won the last 11 regular-season meetings. Playing in front of the Bluejay faithful for just the second time in the last four weeks, Creighton struggled to find their rhythm early as the Bulldogs defense forced three turnovers and limited the Bluejays to a 3-of-8 shooting to start the game.

Creighton returns to action on Sunday, Dec. 25, when it plays host to DePaul in its first Christmas day game since 1953. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and will be nationally televised by FOX.

Trey Alexander scored a career-high 32 points to help Creighton to an 80-65 Christmas Day victory over DePaul. The win improved Creighton to 8-6 and pushed the Bluejays over the .500 mark with a 2-1 BIG EAST record. DePaul dropped to 6-7 and is 0-2 in league play. Creighton never trailed in the victory, its 17th in a row over DePaul, and led by double-figures throughout the second half.

Trey was on fire tonight, previous high was only 17.

Most stats were good tonight but the 17 TOs are way too high, need to find a way to clean that up.

Even with that bad stretch that Creighton endured, they are tied for 4th place in the Big East with Seton Hall coming to town next week. Every team, including UCONN looks beatable, so they still have a chance at a great season.

Agreed..

The “meat” of the conference schedule is ahead of them. If the Jays can string together some wins, they can turn the December losing streak completely around…

yes, he is definitely a difference maker both on offense and defense. On offense he pulls defenders in, which creates more open looks for everyone else. On D, its obvious, but other guys are able to gamble a little more and make mistakes and he protects the rim behind them.

I know that it’s been discussed that Kalkbrenner is the MVP for Creighton but I think Trey Alexander is as well. It seems like when he does well the team does well when he struggles the team struggles.
