FNB is amazingly visible from that vantage and to know that soon there will be an even taller scraper standing next to it (albeit a bit down hill) makes me giddy.

I count that as them starting construction.

Yeah, if you go back to the 1:30 and 2:00 PM photos from today, and look to the east side of that lot, you'll see where JE Dunn marked it out.

Hopefully this coming week daily activity will start on this project. I know it's only been a few weeks since groundbreaking ceremonies but it seems longer.

January 25th was the groundbreaking ceremony, so it’s only been a little over 2 weeks ago. Work is being done at the construction site..and we should start seeing the heavy equipment soon..

I’m hoping to get further project intel tomorrow..So if I get some nuggets, as always, I’ll post them here…

Is it acceptable that I’m obsessed with finding even the slightest hint or sign that would indicate the beginning of construction here? 😜

Absolutely. Most of us here are development freaks and height obsessed folk, lol. This IS the place to be obsessed with a massive skyscraper development such as this :thumb:

Hang in there my friend. I’ll be at a get together later this afternoon/evening for a certain “football game event”, and was told I might get some additional intel. Of course, if I get any worthwhile nuggets, I’ll post them here :thumb:

Unless I see some noticeable and clear evidence indicating the beginning of major construction buzz I’ll be lacking in the sleep department. It’s like being a child on Christmas Eve who anxiously awaits to the possibilities of what may be under the tree on Christmas morning. I’m just being silly, well kinda! 😜

This also confirms what my Mutual contact told me this evening- that everything has been worked out with JE Dunn, and we should see heavy duty equipment at the site very soon.. Indeed, there was a “snag” between Mutual and JE Dunn several weeks ago, but again, that’s all been ironed out from what I was told..

All systems go :thumb:

You know, they wouldn't really have to close down the street - they could wait for red lights, and then rush materials across the street before it turns green, for three years.

Does anyone know if the lot they are staging equipment on is dirt or gravel? Usually they dump a few inches of gravel down so it isn't a muddy mess on days like today.

I wish there was a camera facing the construction site. Not only to check progress, but to also make a cool time lapse when it's finished.

Yes. From the intel I gathered a month or so ago, there will be 3 video Timelapse CAMS. I’ll attempt to get additional info on when and their accessibility..

I had a nightmare that Mutual of Omaha wasn't really going to build a new skyscraper on the old library lot after all, but a trailer park instead.
