Some good news for this an ongoing Nebraska Basketball recruiting. Gary Sharp said this morning that the UNL’s big money collective, 1890 is now also for men’s basketball. This could really really help going forward. Just great news.

Nebraska men's basketball had no business emerging the victor Sunday afternoon in Iowa City. Iowa reeled in 21 offensive rebounds and turned those into 31 second chance points. The Hawkeyes added 21 points off 15 Nebraska turnovers. The Huskers had 21 total points between second chance and Iowa turnovers. And yet, when the final buzzer sounded on Senior Day in Iowa City, NU had more points on the scoreboard. Nebraska (16-15, 9-11 Big Ten) beat Iowa 81-77. The win, paired with December's 66-50 win in Lincoln, gives Big Red its first season sweep of the Hawkeyes since joining the Big Ten in 2011-12.
Three Nebraska men basketball players were honored on Tuesday morning as the Big Ten announced its all-conference selections from both the coaches and media.
Senior forward Derrick Walker leads the trio as he was a second-team selection by the Big Ten coaches, while the media listed him as an honorable-mention pick.
Junior guard Keisei Tominaga was named honorable mention by both the coaches and media, while senior guard Sam Griesel was Nebraska’s sportsmanship honoree.

So cool to see these three honored. I am a little surprised Derrick made 2nd team. With us being at the bottom of the league for so long, even though better this year, I thought he'd just get honorable mention. Very happy the league recognized how good he is.
Everyone who cares probably already knows, but it is not mentioned here, so I will add it.
The Husker takes on Minnesota tonight in the first round of the B1G tourney. Game time is set for 8 PM cent. Since it is a late game in the tourney, that is not locked in.
It should be a winnable game, but there are no guarantees at all for this team.

For the fourth time in the Fred Hoiberg era, Nebraska men's basketball has failed to advance beyond the first round of the Big Ten Conference Tournament. The Huskers closed the regular season with six wins in the final eight games but fell to the 14 seed Minnesota Wednesday night in Chicago, 78-75. Minnesota, which had fallen twice to Nebraska during the season, became the first 14 seed to notch a win in the Big Ten Tournament since 2017.
