Creighton beats Georgetown on Senior Night

Trey Alexander connected on five of his first six three-pointers and Baylor Scheierman delivered a 12th double-double in a 99-59 win against Georgetown. Trey led everyone with 25 points, it was also the second time he hit seven three-pointers in a game this season. The Jays started this one on a 19-0 run and led by 26 points at the half before building a 42-point advantage in the second half.

Scheierman went through the Senior Night experience despite not knowing where he will play basketball next year, he will have one year of eligibility left after this season, he could be back. Since 1998 Scheierman is the second Bluejay to deliver a double-double while also being honored on Senior Day, Geoffrey Groselle did it in 2016. Ryan Kalkbrenner was honored before the game for scoring 1,000 career points. He added 16 more in this one against the Hoyas.

Creighton will close out the regular season Saturday at DePaul, an 8 p.m. start on FS1.

Thank, you're prob right, it is just nicer when more people are able to stick around for the senior day activities, but last night it was tough, with the late start, I don't think they started until almost 10pm.

Crazy that Creighton has owned DePaul (their next opponent)

The Jays have won 22 out of the last 23 meetings and 17 straight.

Men's Basketball Closes Regular-Season at DePaul on Saturday
Bluejays have won 17 straight against the Blue Demons

Creighton (19-11, 13-6 BIG EAST) closes the regular-season on Saturday, March 4, when it visits DePaul (9-21, 3-16 BIG EAST). Wintrust Arena (10,387) in Chicago, Ill., will host the action, which tips at 8 p.m. While the Blue Demons are locked into the No. 10 seed at next week's BIG EAST Tournament Presented by JEEP, Creighton can still earn the No. 3, 4 or 5 seed depending on leaguewide results on Saturday.

With the loss for Providence today, if the Jays can take care of business tonight, they will be the number three seed in the Big East tournament

Great first half a king when Kalkbrenner picked up his second foul. Need to keep it going and a huge lead in the second half.

#3 seed locked up for the Big East Tournament. 7th straight 20 win regular season for the. Jays, which is VERY impressive..

Trey heated up and hit multiple big shots in the 2nd half. The Jays mastery over the DePaul continues-

84-70 Jays win. Need to clean up the sloppiness with turnovers, 11 in the 2nd half..

Let’s try and make some noise at MSG…

On a side note, pretty cool that Creighton men were on FS1, Creighton women on FS2 and UNO men on channel 13 in the Summit League Tournament.

I think there is a good chance he might. I am sure he will go through the draft process, but I just don't see him getting drafted this year.

It was pretty good pub for the Farnam Hotel last night from Gus Johnson.

He mentioned several times how he has stayed in Omaha and the Farnam is like the Taj Mahal.

This is yet another reason why I love Creighton basketball and the publicity it brings the city of Omaha.

Wow an absolute pathetic FLOP of a performance by the Jays in the 1st half..

11 first half turnovers, minus NINE on the offensive glass, unable to throw the ball in the ocean. For all the positive vibe this team and fan base could gleam from yesterdays excellent performance against Villanova, this performance by the White and Blue has been a complete WET BLANKET thus far…

Absolutely awful and disappointing performance by the Jays..

Xavier 40-26 at the half…
