Game time vs Baylor is 6:10pm tomorrow

Thought this was an interesting stat from the game yesterday:

two of Creighton’s five worst shooting performances from three-point range in an NCAA Tournament game have come in the last two years — and unlike the other three, which are horrible memories for Jays fans, those two ended in wins.

Yeah, any Big East conference game with that type of shooting and the Jays would've been blown out. That will be what happens tomorrow unless they regroup and dish to the hot hand, regardless of whether it happens behind the arc or not.

Another crazy stat, through all the games in the tournament so far, the 2 leading scorers were from yesterday’s creighton game:

Great job by the Big East so far, Big 10 is so overrated, quite a few decent teams in the Big 10 but no one that is great.

How Sweet It Is! Men’s Basketball Soars To Sweet 16 With Win vs. Baylor

DENVER, Colo. – For the second time the last three seasons, the sixth-seeded Creighton men's basketball team is headed to the Sweet 16 after sophomore Ryan Nembhard scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Bluejjays to a 85-76 win over third-seeded Baylor on Sunday night at Ball Arena.

With the win, Creighton (23-12) advances to a game next Friday vs. 15th-seeded Princeton (24-5) in Louisville, Ky., in the South Regional semifinals at a time to be determined. Creighton is 1-0 all-time against the Tigers, claiming a 63-54 win back in 1961. 11th-ranked and three-seeded Baylor finishes its season with a 23-11 record.

Still in shock that we beat Baylor…knew it was possibly, but hopefully they don’t overlook Princeton. I haven’t watched one sec of their season but clearly Creighton has a much tougher strength of schedule

Yeah, I worry about Creighton's inconsistency this year. Hopefully they play a complete game on Friday.

I agree. I hope they play a complete game. I don’t think it takes their best effort but they do have to play as a team and consistent. Thankfully, I think they can get by with a good but not great game against a team like Princeton.

Crazy stat that doesn’t mean much but:

This could be telling for Creighton: The Bears have lost to the eventual national champion four times (1946, 1948, 2010 and 2012) and to runner-up North Carolina last season.

yeah I hope the Jays don't overlook them, obviously Creighton has a much tougher schedule and more quality wins, but Princeton has been playing well lately.

I know nothing about their lineup, but I wonder if they have anyone that will be able to cover Kalkbrenner.
