Merci Thai

Post by nativeomahan »

On a recent visit to the riverfront in the CB side I noted that Merci Thai has a small restaurant near Hanafan Park. Has anyone tried it? It would be nice to have a dining option so close to the Kerrey Bridge.

With a name like that, I wonder if it's a second location for Mercy Thai at 96th & L.

I have been here many times and highly recommend it! Its super clean Thai food and the family that runs it is awesome. It is a second location to the other restaurant on 96th and L.

we ate there this weekend, and it was pretty good. We tried a few different entrees and their spring rolls, and fed our family of 5 pretty easily (had a decent amount left over) for a little over $40. In this day and age, it's not hard for us to drop $50 on 5 people at McDonald's, and this didn't leave us having that cruddy-greasy feeling afterwards. For sure will go back...

Thanks for the review...always nice to know places that are good yet affordable. And I agree, we went to Olive Garden with our family of 5 and got cheap things and it was over $80.

Also, I should mention that we had ours as take-out, too. Not that it got cold driving home (it didn't), but it was great even not getting to dig in right when it came out.

As noted in this week's Grow Omaha email, the Mercy Thai in Council Bluffs is NOT affiliated with the two Mercy Thai locations in Omaha,
