Katherine Lemke Earns NCAA Regional Invite; Will Head to Ann Arbor
Creighton freshman earned her spot by winning the BIG EAST Championship

Creighton freshman Katherine Lemke will head to Ann Arbor to compete in the NCAA Regionals, it was announced on Wednesday on The Golf Channel during the NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show. Lemke is one of 36 individuals selected to the field, with six women being sent to each of six different Regional sites.

Lemke's competition will take place at University of Michigan Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Lemke earned her spot in the NCAA Regionals by virtue of winning a playoff at the BIG EAST Championship on April 23rd, becoming Creighton's first BIG EAST individual champion in any sport when she rolled in a 20-foot putt on the first playoff hole. Her 213 total at the tournament was the best 54-hole score for Creighton since at least 2003-04 and a figure that hasn't been surpassed at the league championship since 2013.

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton sophomore Katherine Lemke will head to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to compete in the NCAA Regionals, it was announced on Wednesday on The Golf Channel during the NCAA Women's Golf Selection Show. Lemke is one of 36 individuals selected to the field, with six women being sent to each of six different Regional sites. Lemke's competition will take place at PGA National Resort Palm Beach in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., from May 8-10. Seventy-two teams and 36 individuals qualified for the postseason.
