Do you think Childress gets moved over to pitching coach now?

It would be a good move. It probably depends on what Childress has for goals.

Currently he's the Director of Player Development for the baseball currently. Would be an easy transition to his old job.

I agree. Would love to see it and figure it's all up to whether or not Childress wants it.

I heard, but haven't seen it published ( but haven't looked) that On July 1 when there can be a third full-time assistant added per the NCAA change that the position is filled also. Hearing that Mike Sirianni from Wichita State will be joining the Husker staff

Thanks. I was unaware of being able to add the extra assistant for baseball. Was trying to figure out who he was replacing or how they were handling it.

Kyle Perry to return for sixth season with Nebraska baseball

Nebraska baseball will have one of its most used bullpen arms back next year. Kyle Perry announced on Saturday afternoon that he will be returning for a sixth season with the Huskers. The left-hander made his intentions known via a video posted to Twitter. Perry detailed his journey, which has included a pair of elbow injuries, throughout the message. “I’ve been here five years, so what’s one more?” he said in his announcement.

Nebraska's Brice Matthews signs deal with Astros

The pride of Humble, Texas, which is just on the outskirts of Houston, former Husker infielder Brice Matthews is back home and officially ready to begin his pro pursuits in the Astros organization. Houston announced his signing on Saturday, and according to Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline, Matthews inked a deal with the Astros for $2,478,700, which hovers in that neighborhood of a No. 28 pick's assigned top-end slot value of $2,880,700.
