An immersive green experience celebrating nature, growing, making, creativity.
North Omaha Summer Arts (NOSA) is back with The Garden Walk, an immersive green experience up and down North 30th Street from 9 a.m. to 12 pm (Noon) on Saturday, August 19. The free event features activities, speakers, growers/producers, makers, artists, musicians at participating venues along the route. Everyone is welcome to take part in this celebration of nature, bounty, creativity and community.

From NOSA founder and Garden Walk organizer Pamela Jo Berry:
"Take a drive or stroll down North 30th and experience a sweet and positive look at what we can do in sustaining our earth, our children's earth, our food system with fresh and healthy sustenance, whether growing food ourselves or getting it from farmers in the community that care.

"Experience the beauty and peace of flowers and learn the healing power of food and herbs. Let's get busy taking care of our environment, our earth, all in bite sizes. So let's meet the conservators, the gardeners and the farmers, and along the way enjoy beautiful art and music."

Powersports and outdoor power technology program in full effect at Metro Community College

OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) — Eighteen-year-old Callan Scholz knows how to fix a thing or two. "Here I'm taking the shroud off this engine," said Scholz. Four days a week, Scholz is up close and personal with the many objects behind outdoor power technology. The love for repairing started years ago. "My brother had gotten into it through classes at high school," he said. "Then, one day we picked up a mower off Facebook marketplace, tore it apart, and that's how it all started."
