A Fleet Farm store with gas station and double drive-through car wash is on the planning commissions agenda. It will be on the Northwest corner of 192nd and 370.

Here is what I posted on NextDoor and came here to post too!

There has been a previously unannounced name for a 150,000 Sq ft national retailer that was committed to the Gretna Landing Development. This is off of Hwy 370 & 192nd st. Basically, the other side of 192nd from where HyVee is going to be opening. In the Planning Commission agenda for the coming meeting, it is now known that this is Fleet Farm building there. The approval documentation indicates in addition to the main store, there will be a convenience store, gas, and a car wash. Sounds like the same footprint for the one that is relatively new on the W side of Des Moines that I have been at. (3875 SE Delaware Ave Ankeny, IA 50021) This is a good addition to the area. https://www.fleetfarm.com/

Awesome! I love when new to the area retailers pop up in Omaha! I live nearby so that's a bonus, too! Good or bad, stores like this, IKEA and other large national retailers will likely need to locate out west somewhere as there won't be any urban real estate available.

Speaking of IKEA, my guess is that Omaha (or Nebraska) isn't includes on their list of future US stores that they're planning. However, I would think if they did decide to come to our area they would choose a location off of I-80 such as Nebraska Crossing or somewhere in the vicinity. Their KC store is right off the interstate and so is their Minneapolis store.

I have heard Walgreens. That being said, the footprint looks small for that, but who knows?

I found this on Access' website. Perhaps this is already known to others but I wasn't aware CHI owned property to the south of 370. Their map says "CHI Hospital". Any thoughts on this actually becoming a full blown hospital, or is this most likely going to be a clinic of some sort?

Makes sense with the Sarpy growth for sure. I was surprised it took CHI as long as it did to build Lakeside. Before that existed the most "western" hospital would have been tied between Bergan and Methodist.

If that happens I would think you'd see a lot more commercial pop up plus some hotels.

The fill-in for Greta Landing is going to go fast, IMO.

If you look at the marketing material for the development that has recently been updated, there are not many plots that have nothing tied to them yet. A number shows LOI (Letters or Intent), but I would guess most, if not all, of these will follow through.

Of the 23 lots, only 8 of them show nothing actively moving forward on them, and it is likely some of them are proceeding without noting here.

The image is a little fuzzy when I click on it, but a couple of things I find odd/interesting. First of all, they have several of the lots marked as "proposed". Not sure how close those are to a done deal at this point (still negotiating? Even talked to the potential tenant? etc).

But on the same side as Fleet Farm there is a lot with Scooters and another lot around the the corner for Starbucks. I can understand that just because the HyVee has a Starbucks they still may want something with drive thru options. However, on the same side with the standalone Scooters? I would think there are non-competes in place unless the lots are owned by different companies, but I find that hard to belive when they're so close to one another.

The other dumb thing is there's a proposed Tommy's by Fleet Farm and then a Rocket on the east side of 192nd by HyVee. Are we really at that point already where these goofy car washes are building like Burger King vs. McDonald's (in the 80s-90s)? Seriously what's going to happen when people get tired of spending $30/month on a car wash subscription?

I looked it over again and see between both developments there are 4 banks? Veridian and Centris credit unions along with Chase and Citizens. Seriously?

What's the place next to the McDonald's lot?

Maybe - I mean I guess it's possible. I would think there would be non-competes assuming the same developer owns all of the land on the west side, but maybe they feel they're both big enough players that they can coexist?

I think what they're building to the east of the HyVee store is more retail strip space... I haven't been over there in about a month so I'm not sure how far along that is, but you have to figure that's where places like chiropractor, hair, nails, State Farm, etc will go. Same |expletive|, different location, LOL

In addition to these two car washes shown there is a car was as part of the plans for the Fleet Farm itself. Gas also

Scooter's is already under construction. I think they're more than half way through the construction.

Considering the spending habits of people in Gretna and the number of small businesses closing in the past or present, I am quite surprised at the big players showing interest in this area. I really hope they come to Gretna and never regret their decision to do their business here!

Has there been any mention of if/when CHI would build the hospital across the 370? I imagine if that does happen it would definitely help.

I've heard not anytime soon. They don't see the population size to be eligible for a full-scale hospital.

Canes as I mentioned is only a rumor. I wonder if the people I was hearing it from had it mixed up with Chick fil a

As for Panda your mention was the first I had heard of this. I do not see anything out there that is partial up that is not already identified.

Now you have me second guessing myself. That Chipotle logo with a red ring around it is strikingly similar to the Panda Express logo with a red ring around it. Damn their lack of originality!

I completely reject the concept of "fast casual." It's all fast food. "Fast casual" is just pricey fast food.

However, I too am glad more brands are coming to Gretna. Options are always a great thing. Some awesome independent full service restaurants would be great, but let's be honest, nobody in Gretna would patronize them,.

Does anyone have an accurate updated layout of the development? I visited the Access Real Estate website this morning and it looks like some things have moved around a bit, perhaps were removed, etc.

The latest map I saw listed Scooters and on another lot it simply says coffee - I would assume it's Starbucks but at the same time it's odd they'd have both of those on the same street within the same retail development IMO.

I would have pasted the version I saw but unfortunately I'm not able to upload images from this PC.

Here is the latest off of LoopNet just now. From the Access RE website I am only ever able to see the one image that is at an angle.

They are working on Lot 13, which is identified as a bank, but I have not seen what bank yet.

I do not see the Tomm'y car listed here that was on an early plan on lot 2 or 3 near Walgreens.

What does OSR abbreviate for on some of these lots?

So, with this and the Adjoing HyVee area, we are going to have Veridian, Citizens Bank, Centris, and another yet-to-be-named bank. Doesn't make two coffee places sound out of line (Three if you count StarBUCKS in HyVee)
