Having lived in DTLA and DT Long Beach, I would like to see us at least get something like this Vons in DTLB. It was a full size grocery store but had a parking garage on top of the store.








DTO is fairly Comparable to DTLB.

As for DTLA, they had a number of grocery stores in the core but the one closest to my apartment was something like a No Frills that had a decent lot for taking the car for larger trips, but I mostly walked to it.

This store I used to go to on occasion. It was maybe a quarter as big as Saddle Creek Bakers and had a small lot.




This Ralph's in DTLA had underground parking. Maybe half a Bakers. They had a bar in the middle of the produce section which used to blow my mind. People slamming beers in the middle of people picking over vegetables.




There was a DTLA Whole Foods but I never went there.

I don't know how much you have been following the down town developments but there is a full-sized grocery store to be built, as part of a mixed development that is being planned at the old Civic Auditorium.

This will be exciting, as there will be another store besides Wohlners or having to drive to Saddle Creek or CB.
