There are a LOT of Husker fans in northern Nebraska who can get to Sioux Falls faster than they can get to Lincoln.
Plus through football there's a lot of Nebraska fans in South Dakota.
That is also very true.

I am betting they could have sold 2X to 3X the number of tickets to Husker fans if they would have been available. Maybe that is a stretch since there was a football game that day, too, but I still think they could have done it.

I think that there has been a different leading scorer for Nebraska in each of their first 5 games.

From Jacob Bigelow on 1620 this morning. Oregon State was definitely tallest team NU faced so far. 5 players 6'9 or taller, including one 7'2.

Next up is Duquesne, who is in the top 100 of seeming all indexes according to Jacob.

It's always nice to get a W against a fellow power 5 conference team.

I wonder if Nebraska is the only team that’s been invited twice?

Obviously if they keep doing this it won’t be long before Nebraska gets asked again….

When is the last time they shot 90 % from the free-through line. Large enough sample sie too to make it matter'

The #3 from Duquesne must have been working toward an Oscar nomination. The flops he did both in quantity and style were "amazing"

I honestly can’t remember the last time we were a good free throw shooting team. If memory serves even the Nee era teams struggled in this regard.

I hate floppers. Whether it be basketball, soccer or hockey…..

Danny's 7th season
Finished 20-11
Stickland, Piatowski, Woolridge, Chubick, among others
10th seed in the E regional of the NCAA tournament.
Lost 79-93 to New Mexico State ( of course, the "lost" doesn't need to be stated since we have never won a game in the tourny!)

The BIg 8 was so interesting in Danny's early years with Norm Stewart, Johnny Orr, Billy Tubbs, Lon Kruger and others.

Wasnt that the game where he claimed to be motivated because he saw the other team eating popcorn? Husker won in a bug upset. Right now I do not remember who we beat, but I probably should.

Yep, good memory. It was against Norm Stewart and Mizzou at Devaney. Mizzou was about double digits with under 2 to go and Manning claimed he saw Mizzou eating popcorn on the bench.

Steward was really upset with the loss and when he heard the comments. They had Popcorn Pete Manning Day when Nebraska made the trip to Columbia....

Didn't know where to put this but Bryce McGowens showed out last night for the Hornets. Started and got enough minutes to find a rhythm, while also being able to play off the starters. 14-2-3 on 71.4% shooting including 80% from 3.

I had really high hopes for him. I know he redshirted last year and started off injured this year, bu I'm starting to feel like he will end up entering the portal.

Me too. He's one of the higher rated high school players we've recruiting over the years. Was a top 100 recruit. I know the team is deeper than a long time but still thought he'd get his minutes. Really hoping it works out. I agree though, if he doesn't play much this year, he's all but a sure thing to enter the portal.
