That will be a great night. Wish it could be on one of the weekend games though. 8pm on a Wednesday night. At least it’s vs Nova in a Big East game.

Unpopular opinion...... With a 4 and 6 year old, I'll take all the 8pm (even that 9pm) games I can get!

First Half Run Slows Pokes in BIG EAST - Big 12 Battle

STILLWATER, Okla. -- A 19-2 run to close the first half helped No. 15 Creighton men's basketball earn a 79-65 win at Oklahoma State on Thursday evening inside historic Gallagher-Iba Arena. The game was part of the fifth rendition of the BIG EAST - Big 12 Battle.

After falling behind 12-6 early, Steven Ashworth keyed a 14-2 run and helped the Bluejays gain the momentum and build a 20-14 lead. Ashworth had 11 of those points, sinking a pair of three-pointers as well as an old-fashioned three-point play. OSU countered with the next seven points to tie the score at 23-all.

Great comeback game. Glad to see Trey back to hitting those mid-range jumpers and Baylor continued his streak of hitting 3 3’s in every game this season.

Really looking forward to Sunday's rivalry game. Hopefully Creighton can shake off the slow starts they've been doing the last several games.

Yes, he is also the 2nd active leader for consecutive games with a 3 made. I think he is at 54-55 games in a row now.

#15 Men’s Basketball Dominates Nebraska, 89-60

Baylor Scheierman scored a season-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while Ryan Kalkbrenner added a 13 point, 12 rebound double-double as the No. 17 Creighton Men's Basketball team blew past Nebraska with a 89-60 victory at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday afternoon.

With the win Creighton improved to 7-1 on the year, while Nebraska suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 7-1 overall. CU's 29-point victory is tied for the largest margin of victory over Nebraska, equaling the 47-18 margin of victory in 1932.

So glad that xm radio had the Jays broadcast on, I was able to listen when driving home from eastern Iowa.

What a blowout, Mac owns Hoiberg. Baylor was on fire in the first half and from listening on the radio ball movement was good. About the only negative was the turnovers from CUs perspective.

Jays should move up 2-3 spots with all the losses in front of them.

Agreed, and they are #7 on NET rankings. So not a bad loss at all as long as they continue to take care of business.

This is incredible, the list of runs that the Jays have gone on this year: (obviously not against Colo St, but when you only score 48, its hard to have a run)

Florida A&M, 19-2 run
Iowa, 18-6 run
NDSU, 26-5 run
Texas Southern, 20-0 run
Loyola Chicago, 21-4 run
Oklahoma State, 17-0 run
Nebraska, 30-14 run

How much continued success will it take until Creighton is a contending destination for top national high school players? We seem to get some good transfers, but the freshmen recruiting classes aren't as splashy as some other legacy programs.

I wonder this too sometimes. They recruiting definitely picked up once they joined the Big East and has continued to get stronger. But I will add that I really love McDermott’s approach. Get some good 3* and 4* guys and develop them while bringing in a few transfers that mesh with the style and culture of CU basketball. Much better than snagging a 5* athlete who isn’t a team player and is only gojng to stick around for one year anyhow.

Ask Hoiberg how that works out.

Scheierman Named USBWA National Player of the Week

Having already claimed the BIG EAST Player of the Week honor, Creighton senior Baylor Scheierman added to his accolades by earning Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week honors from the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Scheierman is the third player in program history to be honored with National Player of the Week recognition by the USBWA, joining Marcus Zegarowski (Feb. 25, 2020) and four-time winner Doug McDermott (Dec. 27, 2011, Dec. 18, 2012, Jan. 14, 2014, and Feb. 18, 2014).
