Was there an ownership change when La Strada 72 transitioned to Spezia? I've heard there was and I heard it was the same owners, but they just rebranded it.

Re: Spezia (72nd & Spring) (formerly La Strada 72)
Noted. Did the owners of La Strada 72 go on to other restaurant adventures or did they retire? I can remember driving past it as a kid in the 80s and thinking it sounded so fancy. Of course, back then, everything that started with "Le" or "La" sounded fancy to me. lolnativeomahan wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 3:03 pm It’s totally different. A group out of South Dakota now.

I'm a huge fan of Luigis, but I'm biased as I live in Bellevue.

Can't believe Roma in Bellevue hasn't been mentioned. As good as you'll find in the metro and it's consistently good. Never had a bad meal there. Opened~10 years ago by two hard working brothers from Albania. Truly appreciative of the opportunity America gave them.

Roma is my favorite followed by Luigi's. I work in Bellevue and not a fan overall of places to eat here, but for Italian, they have the best in the metro.
