San Francisco is a dying city, I wouldn't even list that as an example of "progress". San Francisco keeps making head lines and not for the right reasons.

Those obscene books for children in schools are not about cute gay bunnies as you downplay. It's about graphic naked pictures of children doing and teaching kids how to do certain sexual activities, one even teaches children the wonders of hookup apps.

It doesn't matter if the content is hetero or homo, leave the children alone and allow the children to remain innocent, until they are of age and allow parents to make informed decisions for their children.

Since Omaha has ranked high in many top lists for a long time, including being Top 3rd city for families in the US. The results of Omaha being in the top lists speak for themselves on how well Omaha is doing.

To quote Lucile Bluth: “I’d rather be dead in California than alive in Arizona.”

What does reality of the migration map actually say? the opposite of that outdated quote. Also, Hollywood TV constructed narratives are not reality.

I left California several years ago, California is so anti family and that's one of the reasons I took my family out of there. Not only that the schools are among the worst in the nation. I am sorry to say this but California has turned to the worst, California was better, when it was not under democrat control. I came to Omaha to escape from the crazy stuff, I wouldn't want Omaha to adopt any California stuff... My friends there repeatedly tell me how much they want to get out of there but feel trapped because of mortgage and job

Lists are often based on an arbitrary set of criteria for what makes a city "great," or use surface data usually for the purpose of selling whatever the list maker is selling. I'm not suggesting Omaha is a bad place for families, but to gauge that based on such lists is often useless. I'm quite satisfied with my quality of life here in St. Louis, but if you were to go off lists, you'd expect my quality of life to be terrible. Context is everything.

If you dig further into the details of the migration map, it says that wealthy people are moving to California while moderate and lower income people are leaving. A problem, but not one that necessarily suggests people want to leave California.

I can't imagine all the California PTSD you experienced.

Those youtube channels on San Francisco turning into a third world do not lie, it's just sad but a hard lesson must be learned and those failing states must be allowed to carry out their warped vision, even if the state fails.

The country is learning a valuable lesson, some states are failing while others are doing well. For the long term many states are enacting legislation that is the opposite of failing states like California.

I think Nebraska should take note of the states that are running well and receiving plenty of people.

The country as a whole is worse of than a few years ago because of a puppet president, but some places are getting magnified problems like California, while other places like Texas and Florida are standing their ground.
